Project is a 71 Dart Swinger. I am trying to finish up the final trimming of the new vinyl top installation. The stainless trim retainer clips along the top of the windshield hold the edge of the vinyl to the pinch weld. As you may expect, many of the original clips were damaged when the windshield trim was removed. I ordered new clips from Classic Industries (p/n MA9867B). The issue is that the replacement clips are taller than the originals. I am afraid that if I use these, the trim will stand proud of the windshield. For those who may have run into this problem, where did you find the correct retainer clips or alternatively, how did you resolve the problem? It is still going to be awhile before the windshield is put back, so I don't want to have to figure out WTF is wrong when I go to install the trim.

The replacement clip is on the left and is noticeably taller than the original. When held in place in the windshield channel, the new one stands much taller above the channel, even where there is no vinyl. Thanks in advance!

Also, the black ones in my pic are close to the same as the green. I also got some from DMT that were short and wide like the OEM. And honestly I used a mix of both on mine. I realized I had the DMT ones but only enough for the windshield, so I used the shortys and the taller ones with no issue

This is what a pack of Year One RX47 looks like. It's suppose to be for 1970 - 1974 Duster & Dart Sport front & rear windows. But I seem to recall a change in the early '70's where the earlier cars had narrower window trim than the later ones. Don't know if that makes a difference or why '75 & '76 aren't included.

The best overall measurements I can get are:

30 with round hole are .850" x .515"
5 with oval hole are 845" x .545"
