New Windshield Washer Pump and Windshield Washer Pump Hose. It seems to be leaking from where the 1/4 hose goes into the electrical pump underneath the fluid reservoir. Twice, I have tried wrapping a small zip tie around the hose fitting but it still leaks. In the photo, I noticed a ridge in the plastic fitting where I can try to sand it off.

Anybody else have this problem? Fix? Some kind of sealant? Too small for a regular hose clamp.

Could the fitting be cracked at the point it attached to the pump?

If the assy is out of the car. Put a piece of hose on the fitting and fill it to see exactly where it is leaking from.

Might be elsewhere. Mine leaked from the large rubber gasket

Great idea! I filed off the ridges on the fitting and this time clamped the hose to the fitting with two small zip ties. I have the reservoir with the hose hanging over some paper. We'll see if it drips. . .

Is the hose old?

If so it might have lost it's elasticity

If it's new it might be too large ID
