Ive got a 76 Duster with original Anco wiper arms. Where these painted or polished? It’s really hard to tell if they were painted or are really dull.

Also I have the anco double bridge wipers. Where these painted or polished?

Lastly 16” refill blades. Same as the 15” ones people post about?

Thanks,

Riddler

Aluminum will not look right. You need more of a flat silver. Maybe someone has done it in the past and will chime in.

Just found a pair of old Anco 16's at Carlisle,
haven't got refills for them yet. They
were on Anco arms. I also have a couple sets of Trico arms. I like the little tabs on the Trico that lock it on the spline and hold the spring arm straight to remove it from the car. The Anco's have a latch tab underneath- not sure how you are supposed to release it? And you have to fight the spring to pull it off ( I assume there is a right way to remove them)
Not sure what they are made of. Some parts magnetic, others not. But I see no trace of rust - maybe a low grade stainless. anyway, I don't think they were painted or coated. Only did a couple quick spots to test, but 0000 steel wool did a good job cleaning up blades and arms.

I bought trico 33-150 and fit/look great. I just googled "33-160 trico" and 33-162 trico ame up on Amazon as 16"

Thanks guys. I have some very light rust spots so I'll try steel wool. Was going to try a magnet on them to see what they are.

I looked up Trico 33-160 and 33-162 and found nothing. Are these the direct replacements for the Anco blades.

I used steel wool also on my 74 arms and they came out great. Steel wool and WD-40

Classic Industries sells 16" refills for the Anco pushbutton blades.
@zkx14 Push the button and the "claw" slides out.
Lemme see if the pictures are still in the thread about these.

Yes but lets repost them anyway.
These were from a '70 Dart. (and orignally posted in this thread)

Thanks,

I did find 2 different kinds of refills on Amazon. One Anco brand and one Trico brand. Both say they'll fit the 16" Anco assemblies. I've ordered both. One pair was $4 and the other $7.50. I'll check the fitment when I get them in and report back. It'll be a while since they are the only things as my shipping address in the US.

They are matt stainless, but I painted mine satin black so they don't glare at me.

Post up what you find - also if you can, some photos of yours. Maybe '76 was different than the earlier ones. Also some cars came with Trico blades (not bushbutton) even in the 60s. What determined which it got I don't know.
Alan claims the Trico's 43 and 44 series refills will fit the Anco Pushbutton blades. The difference they are little longer and use a clip on the tip instead of being retained between the two claws. I'm pretty sure I've used a 43 as a substitute.
you guys know about these wiper blades???
Nothing in the current Anco catalog looked wide enough.
0.380" is the correct width.
Who knows Wipers and refills? Especially originals Be curious what you got.

I cleaned off my arms with steel wool and WD-40 and they look fantastic! But I'm sorry I did, the glare is horrible especially at mid day. Actually I'm trying to figure out a way to reverse this.

For my 67 the original arms are all Stainless Steel. I just polished them up and retrofitted new rubbers into them and reinstalled them.
