Wiper linkage hookup

Hey guys,
So I have a 1976 dart custom and the windsheild wipers weren't working when I bought the car. I took the wiper motor off to see the problem and the bar that pushes the wiper bars is not connected to anything. My question is how do you put this back together seeing as I have no idea how to take the cowl off and working through th wiper motor hole is virtually impossible. Thanks!

Wiper Linkage Is A Bear. Removal Of The Gauge Cluster Will Free Up Some Room And Youll Need As Much As You Can get As It Fits Together Snugly. New Bushings Are Cheap However. Good Luck.

Thanks for the info. Any idea how to drop the steering column to the seat? All I see is the two screws holding it to the dash and removing those doesnt drop it all the way.

3 bolts on the floor plate around the column also, then it should drop.
