Wiper Motor Wires

-
The wiper switch...............It has two distinct clicks but then rotates quite a bit more after the second click, almost another 90 degrees. There s a 2771378 stamped on the side. I believe this is a variable wiper switch?

That number is the variable 3 speed switch.

Just to add a little more info on the white plate, 2 speed.
It's mine that is the white plate, 2 speed motor. 2822 963
The switch on my car is stamped on the face: 2820525 23199? and 3396 possibly cast in below.

make this diagram, based on information from the Web, photos of other wiper motors and YT videos. I still lack the connection for the water pump, but the only free pin is always energized ... I hope it serves as a reference, use the colors indicated in the original diagram. Greetings!

What are you trying to do?
Everything in this thread is about 1967 wiper motors and matching switches.
If your car is a 1967, then go to post #40 and see which wiper motor you have.
If your car is not 1967, then check the list of wiper motors. The Plymouth and Dodge shop manuals have the best diagrams but even then sometimes do not cover every version for that year. The good news is there was more standardization later (after 1967).
On the other hand if you are working with a Mexican built car, sometimes parts were different. Brazil built even more so.

Since I'm in the process of determining which terminals should do what on a correctly functioning switch, here's mine.

'67 Barracuda, column, automatic
2820525 switch
2822 962 motor
Brown wires spliced together in engine compartment harness
No wire in the D terminal on the engine compartment side

Not white plate.
p/n 2822 963 White plate over the gears is shown in posts 2 & 3, & 21 wired for 2 speed shown in post 34
Your motor 2822 962 is the type shown in posts 1, 5, & 23 wiring we think for 2 speed shown in post 45

Ah, so it's metal and rusty? I wasn't sure if it was overspray on a white plate or something else. Edited post to remove that bit.

@townsend @Bugman
Do either of you know why the service part number doesn't match the stamped numbers on the motor housings?

I read somewhere that the numbers stamped or cast into parts does not always match the part number in the parts book.

No reason I have ever seen
