Won't stay logged in, can't log in...

-
I just started having the same problem a week ago. I'm having to log in every time I sign on, I've tried both sign on's & still the same. Joey needs to get a handle on this soon.

Each and every time I go to my favorites and click on the Welcome to For A Bodies Only Mopar Forum "which is how I have always got on this site" I need to log on, never had to before. As soon as I exit the forum I can click right back on it and I need to log on again. Why is it only this site that I have to do this on, and it has been this way for over a week now. I am by no means a computer geek, and I thought cookies were something you ate to get fat, but it seems to me that there are a lot of members having the exact same problem on this site only. If there is definitely something that I need to do on my computer please let me know.

I have said it many times. Please change your bookmarks to
Code:
https://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/
Been using the new code, I'm still lagging badly getting logged into the site. Just took 17 minutes to get logged in and it wont keep me logged in even with the box checked. Cleared cookies, cache, and 3 different browsers, 3 different devices including an IPhone. Same problem. For what it's worth, I tried For trucks only and FBBO and both loaded instantly.

Me too. Came home from the Dr. and turned my laptop on. Had to log in. Double checked the https. OK checked the stay logged in box. I logged out and went to Facebook then back to FABO. Had to log in again. Did the process 3 times. I have cleared my cookies numerous times. I use Google Chrome if that makes a difference.

It did it again. FBBO, FEBO, and FTO all work perfect. Frustrating for Joey I bet.

You didn't say which cookies to clear/eat...chocolate chip, oatmeal, macadamia nut??? Not computer literit??

Interesting that my phone works ok now. Slow as molasses but I don't have to log in every time.

Guys - This will be fixed soon -- I could explain everything that has been going on but really, you guys don't care about why - you just want it to work right. And I don't blame you -- But believe me, this aggravation shouldn't be more then a day or two.

Some of us do care about the why :poke:

That said, in Joey we trust!:thankyou:

It wasn't that big a hassle on my PC, I only reported it because everyone else was calling attention to it. Plus I figured that there was something wrong with the website. You can't fix it if you don't know it's broke!!.....that's not the same as "If ain't broke don't fix it" LOL

Okay ---

This all comes about because of basically 2 things. First, there was a security exploit found that affects pretty much ALL processors - and the only fix currently slows the processors down. At the same time, we have converted to HTTPS - which is much more secure for browsers, and pretty much all browsers are starting to require. However, HTTPS slows a site down a bit too.

Then, when you move to HTTPS, you should put in what's called a redirect for it. It basically tells the computer to send all http traffic to https so you guys have nothing to worry about. That redirect also slows things down a little. When you add those things together it slows down the site enough that the sluggishness you guys were noticing last week happens.

Ok, so we found a workaround we believe will speed up the sites despite the above problems. We installed it on FCBO with FABO scheduled to be next. And it worked great on FCBO except for one thing... If you have an iPhone or iPad you cant access FCBO for some strange, unknown reason. Android is fine, iOS doesn't work. THAT is what we are trying to fix.

I literally have 3 IT professionals on this. (and have been busting their balls pretty hard to fix it yesterday-they should put in for combat pay) We now have a plan we "think" (more like hope) will work, and if it does, we can then deploy the whole thing here. We're hoping to get the iOS thing fixed tonight or early tomorrow on FCBO, and then come here and fix things here.

I don't know how much of this made sense... The IT guys we have are very good (and car guys too btw) and I have to stress, this iOS thing is a real doozie. So believe me, it has been VERY frustrating for everyone, you guys included. My sincerest apologies to all of you for the trouble this has caused.

Do you have any hair left?

Yeah, but it seems a little more gray has creeped in....

Thanks Joey. I would understand just about enough to be dangerous. My two sons on the other hand.....

All you need to do is re-charge the flux capacitor, remove the thingamabob then flip the whatchamacallit switch. Oh....don't forget to cross your fingers!!!
PIECE OF CAKE!!!!!!!!!

PS - If all else fails, Attenuate to 1.21 Gigawatts

Hmm sounds kind of like the issue we have at work at the moment. Windows 10 pushed a new security update out and now the only mice we can use are stock dell mice... our fancy 3D controllers and wireless setups won't work now. Even with the latest drivers. Silly computers

Thanks for all the hard work Joey. I know we're hard on you but we really do appreciate it

I think people are trying to log in on the non secure site......they are clicking on their favorites or bookmarked Icons and it is the http site and keeps logging them out......the https site stays logged on .....people need to change their favorites and bookmarks to the https site
