This custom wooden car rides on a 1986 Toyota truck frame and gets power
from a Chrysler 318 engine. It is driven by an automatic transmission and has
merely 1,800 miles on its speedometer. The whole body is made of cedar and
its interior is just as over-the-top as the exterior.

Ford had a copper car at the SEMA show a few years back. I looked at that thing for about 30 minutes looking for seems and joints. just incredible.

The 'Splinter' is an all wood sportscar and the designer has spent the last five years or so building it. Even the wheel spokes are wood. It has a twin supercharged 4.6 liter V8 that puts out 700 bhp.
The designer's website is http://www.joeharmondesign.com/ I haven't heard anything new about it for a couple years
