I'm literally sitting around watching the river level rise with only snail speed cell phone conection and am BORED. So.....the boat's engine room was pretty much completely gutted a year and a half ago and new engines and reduction gears installed. Talk about a mess ! The engineers just finished the final touches to the paint job and I told the 2nd engineer I would post pics.

You got it right Dave. If they weren't finished I'd go down and watch the paint dry.

Wow! that engine room is spotless, usually you can sit and watch the oil weep out of a 2 stroke diesel. Do those EMD's have air starters on them?

THX, our engineers keep at it. Yes on the air start; the main engines are the new 12-710 with all electronic control/monitoring. We even lost our Wabco throttle controls in favor of electronic ones. Still have a "throttle lever" but no air dump sounds and delay. Took some getting used to.

That is one good lookin boat!
Everything appears to be in "ship shape"!

Love the sound of an air starter. I used to work on a casino boat that had 4 16v92 detroits w/air starters on them.
