I've been getting a good laugh from this guy on CL for at least a month now. He first listed this at $30,000! Now he says that if no one buys it at this price he'll paint it and do "some other things" and list it again for $25,000 - $30,000. The paint sucks, the interior sucks, who knows about the drive train. Btw, it's a slant six... Not exactly a diamond in the rough! I'll have two of whatever this guy took

$30000 down to $9900? How much can it really be bought for? If this is a rust free car and I would think that it isn't horribly priced now. The interior sucks? Show me where. Is that a real glass window in the convertible top? it is sized correct for the Mopar glass. When you peice together one of these convertibles it cost big bucks to gather all the convertible specific parts. Ask me how I know.

I was half expecting one of those a-body on a jeep chassis thingys by the title. Lots of people these days thinking they can sell their old car to some rich collector to get themselves out of their financial bind. How quickly they realize that Now is not he time to try to sell a classic vehicle.

Just looked at the link and it says $9900
The top is not down all the way, there is something
going on there.
If he she advertised it for $30 000 at the beginning it would be Crack
Cocaine

I can't fault people for a high asking price .Remember you can always come down on price but it's pretty hard to go the other direction!

I don't know, as this car sits I personally wouldn't pay more than $6,000 simply because that's what I've seen similar cars in this local market listed at. Hell, I bought mine for $9,000 and it was in much better shape than this!

You have a point on the interior. On closer inspection the seat covers are really the only thing jumping out at me, not such a big deal after all:eek:ops:

Sorry to disappoint! I was just stunned at the asking price. I have never seen a slant six-body listed anywhere near $30,000. Not even in mint condition. This guy can waste his money on paint if he wants too and I bet he still won't get more than $9,000

Is yours a convertible? When I bought my convertible, notchbacks were selling for less than half and fastbacks were selling for about sixty five percent what a convertible would. Convertibles will sell for more money 99% of the time when they are in the same condition.

He He Triple the asking price then go down, That is no way to sell a car.
People are not that slow except some, Maybe they were waiting for a sucker. If someone did buy that for that price how do they sleep at night,
with a big smile.(SUCKER).
Some people.

Hes not asking $30,000 hes asking $9,900 and if it doesnt sell then he will paint and redo stuff and ask $30,000. So to be fair we cant mke fun of him for his stupidty till that day hahaha

$30,000 is a crack head price. Tops he might see $15,000 if he put another $10,000+ in it and it was done right. This is assuming it is rust free to start with and the right buyer came along. To me the /6 does hurt the value. Mine is a 318 AC car.

OK I doubled checked and Blackhand said they were asking $30 000 at first.
Then checked the link.
The seller is warning us if you do not buy now, I will repaint and so on
and be selling for $30 000.
I am starting to shake in my boots.
What as is I am to do now?
Nice looking car by the way.

At least take some decent pictures. Thos suck

and something that really ticks me off is people who don't put a believable location.

It's not located at "my house", it's listed in Seattle, but that's an Oregon area code. So where is it, anyway?

You know it hasn't rained here in +40 days. Maybe he's just gotten too dried out. The webs between his toes are cracking. Maybe a little moisture will help him come to his senses? Or not.

Its still a nice ride, heck if I over paid I rather it be on that vs some 3 - 4 year old car.

Yeah the 6 banger sucks, I rather it had a 318 and who knows how clean it is

Another thing is people don't have money / credit, I would hate to sell a house or a car right now.

By the way you always ask more and come down on the price, would he take $7,500 cash in hand ? You never know till you try

We must do a native rain dance to bring some people to
there senses Yes you are right 53ryder, Lets start doing
the native dance and we will have rain and get rid of the
cracks in between the toes with the toe jam.
Common sense ad will go a lot further then bullshit (not a swear
word) Honesty will sell.

That looks like a good car that's not being marketed properly, pics, location, etc. But he's got it under 10k and if it's a rust free? vert, he has some wiggle room to come down. I don't think it's crazy to start there. Someone in a rust belt area that can negotiate might get a pretty good deal. Very nice color combo if it matches the plate.

Is it just me or did Darryl just ask Glenn to the dance?

Here's the pics.
