I have a 03 wrangler with a 4.0 5-speed with 3.07 gears and 28" tires, it currently has 70K miles on it.
It gets 17.5 mpg tank after tank driving it to work, the speed limit is 55 max on my commute.
The best it ever got, I took it on a business trip to NC where the roads were flat and the milage was 19.95, could never get 20 mpg out of it.
What ever you do buy one with the complete hard doors, the 1/2 doors suck in the winter.
I have owned alot of jeeps and I like the coil spring 4.0 wranglers the best, my 48 cj-2 averages 20 mpg but the ride is intolerable.
