1966 Plymouth Satellite, wouldn't pass Indiana inspection so the windows were broken out and raced at Henry's Speedway, Boswell, IN. But my third was a 69 Dart GTS 383 4-speed that I bought June 28, 1978 and still have today, though it was nice when I got it and not so nice now. First picture is from 1982 after I wrecked it in 1979 and found a GT parts car for the sheet metal, painted it in 1983. Took it down for a complete restoration in 1993 and it took 20 years using all NOS parts. Second pic is in 2003 slowly getting there. Last pic is in 2013 and two weeks before it was ready to drive my garage burned down on top of it, hope to get it put back together before I die...

My first Mopar was my 1967 Barracuda that my grandparents purchased new

Shortly after I got the car in 1985, baked in the California sun. It was garage kept when my grandparents had it but my grandfather worked so the car sat outside for 9 hours a day.

'68 Dart GTS 340 4 speed that I got in '76, street raced for a while and just generally beat the snot out of it- went through the whole thing in '86 or so, later had to sell it when the Mrs. became the Ex. Kid wrapped it around a telephone pole. Bought the wreck back and the salvageable parts are in my shop loft to this day, waiting for a decent roller so I can resurrect it's spirit.

My very first Mopar was a 1957 Chrysler Windsor.
This pic is not my car, but it looked just like this.
I was 13 at the time and it was my first trans swap by myself.
I came home from school one day and it was driving out the driveway.
My Dad said we needed the money.

O`l smoke, 73 Fury III 2 dr. My boss explained to me how to torch off a welded on front bearing and repair. Got rid of it as soon as I could afford to. Early 80`s. Surprisingly that old boat would scoot with that 400 in it. No pics.

First Mopar was a 70 Charger R/T 440-4, wrecked it in 79 ... Second Mopar was a 70 Charger R/T 440-6, stolen in 79... Third Mopar was a 70 Challenger R/T SE 440-4, sold it in 99.... Forth Mopar was a 71 Challenger R/T 426-8, long story.... There have been a lot since then...

I was 2 when Dad bought this one.. got to drive it on the back roads while my Siblings and Dad had a smoke sitting on the trunk about age of 8.
Next up was our '69 Fury II. At 14 I fixed the flapping rusted out quarters and painted it with a Wagner electric spray gun so my then 16 year old Sister and I could drive to high school in it. By the age of 16 I had dropped a 440 and 4 gear into it as my own car.
Stuffed away in the garage, after Dad had ditched it, I finally talked him into letting me fix a bent control arm and take over ownership of his '69 Super Bee. Been mine since 1979... still driving it!

This is not my car, but it looked just like this, same color, 4-door, 318 poly, push button automatic.
My dad was a farmer, he never got rid of anything. He parked it with 185K on the odometer. It sat in a pasture until I was 15 and needed a car to drive.
Pulled it into the shop, got it running but the transmission was toast…… probably why it was parked.
Dad helped me pull the transmission, bought me a $35 rebuild kit and helped me rebuild it. We got it moving but had to drive it to the local Aamco to have them adjust the bands and get it shifting properly.
I drove it in high school, gave it to my brother to drive and dad finally sold all his old cars and trucks to a scrapper back around 2000.

67 Charger, more bondo than metal, at 15 I knew little to nothing, but I knew when I saw how much and how bad the rust was, it was not worth keeping. Sold it for a small profit about a month before I got my driver's license.

Ain't that the truth...lol. Mine was a 69' Coronet 440 2dr 318 i got from my aunt. Was 1976 it was white with black int. and vinyl top. Had it painted red and was so pretty, but i got a offer i couldn't refuse and sold it 3 months later. Mainly because i still had my SS Chevelle and a work truck. Sure wish i had it today.
'72 Plymouth Duster. 318/auto. Bought it when I was 14.

Bought my Dart in 2005. Looks almost exactly the same now besides hood pins and wheels. 2005 feels like 10 years ago, not almost 20.

72 Duster. Bought it in 1999 when I was 17.
This was the day I left for the Army. The girl in the background was my high school sweetheart.
Ended up keeping both. Painted the Duster and married my sweetheart, in that order.

Sounds about right, my fourth Mopar was a 70 Duster 340 T/A block, B-Body Hemi 4-speed (cut the trans mount to make it fit) and 4.88 8-3/4 with straight through side pipes and blue crushed velvet bench interior, LOL. Sold the car to a friend and he lost it, still have the girl, this pic from 1981...
1970 Dart Custom 2 door - 318/904/7 1/4. My Dad bought it new in 1970 and I bought it from him in 1975. This picture is from our wedding day 8/7/1976 (dig the wide lapels and bell bottoms).
Same car today, 340/727/ 8 3/4. Still driven regularly by myself and the chick in the picture.

My First car was a 1964 Dodge Polara 500, 361 with a 4 speed manual transmission, red exterior with black interior including bucket seats. It had a factory tach in the console which was a not so smart place to put one. I was 18 years old. It was a fun car to drive.

This is my first Mopar. I didn’t own it, but I was assigned to it as a driver. It was the first vehicle of any kind that I was licensed to drive and it was the tank I was assigned to until I got out of the service. In this photo it’s broken down in the field waiting for a new pack to arrive.
