Z bar

Has anyone ever had to change the angles on the Z bar arms to get more throw out of the clutch? I don't know if this is a common practice or is there another way of getting more throw to release the clutch?

Are you sure you have the correct Z bar, rod, etc.?

If all the parts are correct for the car you shouldn't have to change the angles. The times I have had problems witht the clutch not releasing turned out to be problems with the clutch itself. I had broken pivot pins in a borg and beck clutch and also part of the clutch lining came of and gave me the same problem.

You should have enough adjustment in the adjustment rod to get more throw.

You can get a longer rod it your is maxed out.
