Z-Bar

When I press the clutch pedal the z bar moves slightly to the left what would make it do this.

71 833 trans and engine in a 73 duster (was an auto car)

You could be missing the wire clip that holds the plastic bushings from sliding in the z-bar. It is located on the frame side and extends through the holes in the z-bar into the slots in the center of the bushings.

That sure sounds like the trouble, or the bushing inside the zbar is bad....


Do you install a new kit, you said it was an auto before the 4 speed was installed....

So is the zbar moving to the left or the shaft that comes off of the zbar moving to the left.....

What are you missing from the picture that you didnt put in or on....

The spring washer is a clip that holds the push rod shat to the zbar

The 2 spring washers, as in the picture above, holds the rods in place, has nothing to do w/your problem. I'd say you are missing some of the white bushing bearings on both ends of the z-bar or you are missing the spring clip (snap ring in the picture above) that retains the outer white bushing bearings in place.

The spring washer was on wrong and letting it move I fixed it and there is no movment in it anymore. THANKS
