Many race cars have been banned or slowed down by officials for having an unfair advantage. This applies to the dominant Vipers at the Nurburgring 24 hours. Except Zakspeed used every trick in the book to keep their Viper as competitive as possible for as long as possible. So let's find out just how fast this stubborn snake was

 
And If only they let the Italians make the V10 twin cam per head!

 
I think I posted some on that. He made at least one of them into a V8 (V10 block) to keep it racing.

Indeed. To be that successful against the Porsches, BMW's and Audis for as long as it was not to mention everything else and to be sanctioned like they were is incredible. A true testament to the designers and builders of the car.
