At Mo Cars suggestion...Ive started a list of track results for Gen 3 retro fits

ILL accept ANY early body Mopars, rods or Brand X bodies with Gen 3 drivetrains

Post your stats in the format below...and Ill add it to the 'list'

Any data missing...it wont make the list...but the post will stay.

Stats:6.36 @ 108mph in the 1/8th mile (foot brakin')(most racing around here has moved to 1/8th mile)
10.10 @137mph in the 1/4 mile (foot brakin')
I footbrake and leave off idle and get around 1.42 60'

GPS speedo showed a 12.70 at 117 on concrete spinning through 1st and 2nd at 2800ft elev. on 91 octane pump gas.
6.1 stroked to 420", 6.1 intake ported, ported 6.1 heads,EFI, 247/255/600/114 cam, 6spd T56,3.91's and 335 wide Toyos. Car weighs im guessing around 3500 with driver. Plan to go to strip with slicks 3rd week in Sept.
 
67 dart 3400 lbs w/ driver

2005 5.7 with comp 268 cam, intake/headers otherwise stock.
727 with 3500 stall, 3.73 gears. Nitto 555r drag radials and caltracs.

13.26 @ 104 here in the thin air of bandimere speedway in denver, 5900 ft.

the car is very consistent, somebody just needs to cut a light…

just FYI, the Speedhut GPS in mine runs about 0.5 seconds quick for the ET function… but it still lets me know if I'm improving with parts/tuning…

All im concerned with at this point is MPH.

Amen to that until it's dialed in a bit. I'll be eager to hear what you do with good tires on a prepped track, even my 5.7 was a mess without DR's and my caltracs dialed in...

Just a heads up on the list - there's obviously info missing such as tyre height, DA, and other fine points.

Point being...this list is NOT for bragging rights.

Joeboy and 72BBSwinger are showing the right spirit....exchanging ideas and info.

ok. but last time on a scale was with a 340 and 904 tranny 14 years ago. 3420 lbs plus me with 160 ( never changed that :D )

M/T semi slicks 255/60R15 ( 26" )

That is a typo!! Lol!!

Shift at 7000 cross at 7500
 
I have my shift light come on at 6700 and rev limiter is at 6800. I was told my 6.1 intake is pretty much done at 6500.
 
Probably worth discussing two issue for those running aftermarket cams -

- Oiling mods, and

- Valvetrain

Seems to be the points of vulnerability.
 
So I suck at driving, first time out with the car, 215 street tires, usual excuses, lol!

Rockinrobin...Care to share your cam specs?
 
I use 6.1l lifters, chrome Molly pushrods, stock rockers, comp beehive springs, titanium retainers. Nothing special but it works. I had to extend a milodon oil pan to 8-9 quarts. I ran the pan dry at 7500 with a 6 quart pan.

I would if I could, but I never could get the builder to tell me other than the brand is Comp and it is a full race cam. He told me that he uses stock lifters and springs because the Gen III Hemi's don't really need the lift or duration that other motors do. I'm just afraid to rev it more than 7200 with stock springs and rockers. Well, he's won national engine building competitions so I trust that he knows what he's doing. The builder is Tony Bischoff, BES Racing Engines in Indiana.
 
i'll play..this was when i ran N/A 12.08@112mph at edgewater dragway ohio
68 barracuda full body interior etc.. no idea of weight
2006 5.7 stock short block, stock eagle heads and intake. 85mm mechanical throttle body, stock eagle rail and injectors. 0.075 thick head gaskets
hhp stage 3 N/A cam. no idea of specs. stock lifters ,custom trend push rods.
727 trans 2800 stall with 3.55 gears. 255-60-15 drag radials. full 3 inch exhaust to rearend dynomax mufflers..mega squirt

Rat, I weighed my car today and it came in at 3480 without driver and about 10 gallons of gas in the tank. So with me in it we're looking at 3670. Bit heavier than I had hoped.
 
Good work on the list Rat , I plan to take mine to the track again this week with different tires .

Yeah thats pretty hefty BBSwinger , must be the cage , at least your safe.
