Probably long enough to realize you shouldn’t listen to me! Would be cool though, you’d just have to walk it out of the hole.

That’s a long crank, at least it would be easier on it than a supercharger.

Quick update, the decision has been made. The slant 6 will be pulled and donated to a friend in need (his has a rod hanging out a hole in the block) for his dart. And the magnum is going in. The slant will be gone today and hopefully the 5.9 will be in tomorrow. Pictures to follow later.
 
Go back and read post 1. I bought this truck in November and my asshole friends were taking bets on how long the slant 6 would last. Whoever took the under on that bet gets a cookie.

Caved under pressure....
Now what do I do with my truck ...
Slant six is on the engine stand
Cab is at the body shop
Finally after 1.5 years got my fender back
And he took my other fender to repair
Hopefully this spring i can start bolting it back together

Listen mr funny man, you know me too well and also not at all. We stood there and talked about how easy it would be to put a couple snails on it. And I even have magnum turbo headers I built years ago. But this one will (probably) not get boost. For now.

i technically had 8mo till you "really" put a motor in, and for you does it really count if it doesn't have turbos on it?

so i still technically have another 4mo in which you will probably turbo it and deliver said cookies unto me.

i like vons butter cookies, you know i'm low rent like that. i'll mark my calendar.

Wow you guys are really on me. I thought for sure a nitrous small block crate engine would be enough. Apparently not. I’m trying to keep this one simple. Mechanical fuel pump, mechanical fan, no fancy electronics (except the trans controller) and just a nice reliable driver. Does everything need 900hp? Don’t answer, I knew as soon as I asked. I’ll bring you some butter cookies (homemade of course, no Vons store bought stuff here) to the fling.
