Whiskey...........

LoL, that blended stuff up north is ok. Just don’t give me some from the bottom of an ash tray like those heavy Scottish ones…

I have a few bottles on display for when company comes over or there's a reason to celebrate. But for my regular drinking I have a handle of Evan Williams Bottled in Bond on the shelf. It's 100 proof and aged four years, but mostly it's affordable. I mostly drink it neat but have been known to throw a cube of ice in there or make an Old Fashioned if I'm feeling fancy.

I don't drink, but I have friends and relatives over that do. Since my travels often take near Frankfort Ky, I've been known to stop at Buffalo Trace and pick up a bottle of Eagle Rare or Blanton's if they have it on rotation.
The older we get, the less Miller Light seems to be popular.

Don't drink the stuff. I am a sissy... it makes me talk too much, have no fear when I should be fearful, puke, might have gave me the chits...been so long I forget!!!!

A good Canadian over the rocks is hard to beat. It was my go-to for many years but it makes my body hurt now so I don't partake much. I do miss it a little some times like that old girlfriend that made you remember her for the good and the bad sometimes at the same time and you just feel lucky you made it out alive.

LoL,

When I smoked it was not as noticeable, and I’ve tried a lot of spirts, but once I quit smoking, that really smoky taste is repulsive…
Stay away from the peaty smoked labels....most of the smoked whisky comes from outer Islands or coastal areas. Inland and lower Highlands tend to be less smoky.

Glenmorangie is a great starter whisky.....remember that the older the bottle, the smoother the taste.

And although a blended brand like Johnnie Walker Blue uses whiskies of up to 60 years old....it has no age in its own right.
A blend has no actual age, just a magical taste. :)

Yeah, I was a food/bev purchaser for a very large food service company in U.S. for a long time. I’ve bought more food and Bev than someone could imagine. So yeah, I’ve tried my far share of adult beverages. I really like the Macallan 30. But I’m not spending 5 grand on a bottle for myself. That’s a lot of car parts for my A-body collection…..

I used to get this white stuff looked like water from Kiln Mississippi
I think could have ran my car on it. Smooth burn going down
