the cars weighs 2850 with me in it has cal trax in the rear the car need a diff converter and somthing than the cheep headers from jegs. for the winter i am going to a 4500 stall converter and a set of tti headers

I was going to ask you what it weighs. I'm all about lite-weight for my '74 'Sport "track car w/ tags" project. You know, the old "100# = 1 tenth" addage.
What year/body is yours? What have you done to get it that light? The freakin bumpers on mine were 62# and 82#, respectively for front and rear. That's brackets and everything. Yikes! I plan on using 'glass w/ lightened brackets.
Nice car. What are your e.t. goals?

all i have done is glass bumpers, hood decklid and rear valance the car is a 72 the car has only one seat in it i would like to be in the low 10s high 9s on a real good day

Youse guys are running a lot more cam than I am! I'm 236/242 @0.050" comp xtreme hydraulic roller, but it's mostly a street car. I may have compromised too much to get my 10" vacuum at idle in gear at 800 rpm. Is yours a street car? What does it idle at, vacuum, etc? What is you 60' time?

My 60' time was 1.55 on that pass. This Dart GT is a street car with only a mini tub and frame rails tied with XHD leaf springs. The car has the full interior and weighs 3260 with driver. This car has only 6" or 7" of vacuum and I have it idling in gear @950RPM. Intake is a Victor 340 with a 750 HP carb. My Dart usually runs in the 11.50 area but has slipped in to the 11.40's this year more then once and is running mufflers. Jysnflem

I would think the difference between our 60' times is the convertor and gear, and your superior lsunching skills. My best thusfar is 1.67, and I've read that 1/10 on the 60' is good for 2/10's on the quarter. So, if I figure right, if I geared and stalled like yours, I may get to 12.0 from 12.25. I suppose the rest is engine differences - cam, compression, heads, and whatever else different you did in block prep. Suggestions?

12.00s with a thermoquad. We run at 3800 ft. I see 11.70s this summer

Tell us more - details, carb details (who built it for you), mpg? I was skeptical of the TQ, and have not been too successful messing with them.

10.48 @ 125. 1.41 60'. 4.100 bore 3.79 stroke = 400ci. R3 block, J&E pistons, Eagle rods, Mopar (Scat) Crank, Crane .600 324 degree flat tappet mech cam, RPM heads w/2.055 Manley intake valves, tit retainers, Manton pushrods, Crane gold 1.5 rockers. 904 trans all roller, stock 1st gear, 4800 Continental converter (flashes to 5600), 4.56 gears 8 3/4, Moser axles. Low first gear and back brace coming this winter. Car weighs 3050 wet. Not fully tubed, has 29.5x11x15. Ladderbar/coil over. Shifts at 6500 and goes through the lights at 7150-7200. Very consistant.:-D

My best pass so far with my 416 in a 3390 pound 66 Dart is 11.14 at 120 with a 1.56 60ft. Car has a 833 4spd with a 3.09 first gear and caltracks bar and mono leaf springs 26x8 mt slicks. Motor has 10.4 comp. Indybrock heads, eddy rpm airgap, 750 holley, MP 590 solid stick, 1 7/8 headers and full 3 inch exhaust to back bumper. I feel the car has more in it but broken parts have taken there tole, but banging through the 4 gears is just to much fun! I will give up the ET for the thrill any day!

A nice medium size solid or roller cam and a good single plain intake would wake your combo up.

Same thing we've been thinking, but its going to be next season before i can redo the stroker..in the mean time we're going to be putting a good size solid in my 360 which has gone a best 11.79 with a .513/.533 hyd. shooting for low 11's...
