well not to dwell on this a whole lot but it is pretty clear that chrysler without lack of divine intervention will be no longer in 3 yrs or less. that being said if all part companies doing chrysler parts cease production then that leaves used and nos parts. once they go then what??? i know this is alot of hypathetical thinking and occurances here, but surely this could happen if not now one day. i know parts will get harder to find and prices will be through the roof worse than they are in some cases now. so again where would you go??? gm??? ford??? other??? i hate to say it but with the demise of pontiac, oldsmobile, potentially buick, chevy still looks pretty good for parts, engines and aftermarket. ford will most certinally hang in there for mustang, but that is about it. i don't see many other models being "part rich". in all i feel this is a turning point of what we know and call "muscle cars". the future could be all tuners as they seeming crank out an "endless" supply of aftermarket parts for throw away cars. these cars are produced in mass amounts and are in just about any and every yard around. i don't know maybe it is me but i just can't wrap myself around a tuner car. i will always miss the sound and feel of a well tuned v-8. i am always going to miss the whole muscle car era as we know it as well.....sorry for the gloom and doom senerio here but i am just bummed that it looks like the writing is on the wall...
