Dr. Diff recommends 85W 140 conventional oil with Motorcraft fiction modifier. This is what I used in my Dana 60. I used Lucas oil which was available at my local NAPA.
I have Southside Machine Lift Bars on mine. I have had them on since 1995. They work great. At the track with slicks the car raises up and goes straight as an arrow. Traction is no problem. They quit making them. You use shims on each side to adjust them.
Brewer's recommended to me if you use regular gear oil to use Sta-Lube 85W-90 GL-4. If you use synthetic to use MT-90 Red Line 75W90 GL-4. I use the Red Line and noticed my shifter is not as hot as when I used Sta-Lube. It shifts great with no problems with the Red Line oil.
I run a Ram Powergrip HD clutch in mine. Best one out of all the ones I ran. Been in my car for over 10 years. Few runs at the track and mostly street. No problems at all.
I noticed when I put the emergency brake on, the pin that holds the bracket on was part way out. I pushed the pin back in though the bracket. What goes on the end of the pin to keep it from sliding out? This is on my 73 Scamp.
