    I always post chronological updates, I will document the task. Keep in mind I will not be doing a full restore. - Clean up grime - swap out the pinion seal - inspect gears & change cover gasket - top off fluids

    4 speed slant 6 factory rear end. I dont think its the gasket and I believe it may be the seal where the driveshaft inputs. Can someone chime in and give me some information on what to do to replace that along with a parts source. Thanks All

    that black stuff gets everywhere.. i finally got the hang of it and applied it with a popsicle stick. right side was the learning side, left side had no runs .. this task is completed.. total cost under 50$

    yea i knocked out some of that rust, checked underneath and it was structurally sound. most of the car’s worst is like that. I dont plan to mess with it lest it becomes a problem.
