    Does your fuel line still run up around the front of the engine and above the exhaust manifold? Re-routing it up over the valve cover will keep it cooler. I wonder if the CA summer gas is detrimental to the accelerator pump if its not kept wet or allowed to dry out?

    I've only been there driving chase for the Baja and Mexican 1000 races. Loreto is a friendly town in a beautiful part of the peninsula. Plenty to do and a minimum of ill behaved drunken tourist malarky. If you're bringing the KTM, parts are hard to come by- bring all the spares you might need...

    funnel trick

    Another shop vac stunt- to clean out the cowl I taped the U shaped part of a sink drain P trap on the intake hose to get all the crap from around the vent holes.
