Mancini Racing Shipping Charges?

-
i will only use mancini if I cant find what I am looking for somewhere else. What I dont like about using them is that they can never tell you how much shipping is going to be. Im not sure why they dont know shipping costs up front. Its a shame as they have some great products. But blind shipping charges are a bad way to do business.

Yeah summit and jegs ship here to Scotland and its reasonable considering the distance. Mancini racing is a little high on shipping to Scotland or anywhere in the UK but they do have some hard to find pieces and have always treated me good. Guess its personal choice and overall reputation but you cant beat summit!

you guys must not realize how much profit jegs and summit make on their parts. they are still making a 100%, and w/ the volume they sell, it covers the shipping. they also have contracts w/ the 2 shippers for way better price than you and me get, once again because of the volume they ship.

Mancini is high on shipping so on some of the Mopar stuff go to your Local Chrysler Dealer and get a price as long as you have a Mopar PN. On some of the stuff I have purchased it may be a little higher but if you add in the shipping you save in the end exspecialy on the Mopar stuff. Go in and talk or call the parts guys and get to know them. They can order the special stuff and roll it in with their day to day parts so you do not pay an arm and a leg for shipping. You are also helping support your Local dealership!

I ordered a cast crank from an ebay shop, $149...shipped! Shipping a crank is expensive but these guys still turn a profit. I get stuff all the time in those mylar bubble wrap "e-packs" and the rate on those is pretty cheap. Why box and bubble wrap spark plug wires? ****, I get electronics stuff from China for $2, and that includes shipping! I always try and set a shipped cost when I sell something, no stress on the buyer. Just plan ahead. Be aware on Rockauto.com. Although the prices are very hard to beat, their shipping adds up on multiple items. The 1.99 wiper blades advertised turn out to be about $10 after shipping, and thats close to Autozone price.

I agree on the Rock Auto. You can get burnt quick if they don't have it all in one warehouse. FOr the last few times I cehcked carefully, the local jobber store was right in line with them when you added in the shipping from 3 different warehouses. I've had great service from mancini - use them a lot but I tend to get multiple parts at once, not onesy-twosey.

UPS on the other hand charges canadians outrageously.

AND FedEx! I recently bought a pair of exhaust tips online. Total cost including shipping via FedEx was $101.56. O.K. I received them a couple of weeks ago. Just got an invoice in the mail from FedEx today for $43.28! WTF!

To all my fellow Canadians: If the supplier won't ship via the USPS tell them to forget it and cancel the order. I'm pissed.

Mancini sent me a Mopar viscous drive and seven blade cooling fan (to Baja California Sur). It arrived in a regular cardboard box, no padding inside. The fan was all chewed up from the loose viscous unit and the fan rolling around together inside the box during shipment. Maybe customs or somebody opened the box for inspection and left the padding out? Maybe Mancini personnel just threw it in the box? Who knows?

I shipped plug wires through USPS for $3.50 a couple months ago. Flat rate boxes are only useful when dealing with heavy parts. Ship light parts normally through USPS and they'll be cheap.

Only use FedEx or UPS for large parts if you have to.

Tired of hearing the shipping sob story from people. It's just a BS excuse people use to try and nickel and dime you to death. People constantly crying about how much boxes, bubble wrap and tape cost. Crying about how much of their precious time it takes to put a part in a box and run it down to the post office. As if we need to pay you some sort of hourly fee for your services. Jesus people we're all grown men and we're constantly bitching and moaning over having to spend pennies on the dollar to ship our parts. Just charge people whatever the shipping company charges and be done with it. Unless you're packaging something in a crate or a pallet, you aren't breaking the bank on cardboard boxes, packing tape and old newspaper.

Rant over.

Scotland? Have you ever got your Pistol Grip shifter tangled in your kilt?
