Putting a new timing chain in it, piece of mind. Don't know if it's been replaced, but the factory nylon cam gears are trouble from the start, if it's still in there... LOL. It will get a new edelbrock double roller. In about a month we'll be heading out on the highway in it :)
 
That is so cool iv wanted one of those for years to make like a camper out of it to take on long road trips

Your van is really super, 318WR. Here's a pic of my '77 Sportsman SE window van, converted to a non self-contained camper. I've owned it since new. I know window vans aren't popular, but I like the windows OK.

As tearing "Wallace" stickers of the bumpers of cars, and he voted for George McGovern for president!

It's apart, timing chain was replaced at some point. Been a while by the gunk that had built up on the timing cover, etc (of course, he did live on a gravel road). Chain had slop, I'll replace it with a edelbrock double roller.
 
If only vans could talk, what stories they could tell.

Actually, this was a lot of fun. My first time building a bed in a van. We get so caught up in Speedmaster heads, 60 ft times and such, but for us this journey has been a blast from the start, and now we can't wait to hit the road in her..... :)
