Stop in for a cup of coffee

Woah! Prayers to you bud. What happened?
Thanks. I was working on the front suspension of the dart. Getting the rack and pinion installed. I’d bolted the front wheels on to the front spindles and they were hanging free. I was moving the spindle to the tierod when some how the spindle came off the the upper ball joint and the full set up swung all the way down at full force, caught me squarely in the chest and knocked me back clear across to the other side. Flat on my back. Tried getting up to catch my breathe and starting vomiting clear fluids, for about 45 minutes. Managed to roll out from under the lift to outside where my mom finally saw me.

Course my wife is extremely po’d I wasn’t exactly supposed to go work on it but I took two hours off work early pto to do it. And kind of forgot to tell her before hand

So the total dead weight amounts I took to the chest. 106 pounds if my math is right.

Chris, first off glad you are ok. That being said, your choice of words in today’s landscape was a bit extreme. I clearly interpreted that as you had been shot in the chest. I fully admit my whole world is firearms based, so I have a bias, but WTF. Drop that on us and no clarification? Your killing me small!

Sorry, wasn’t my intent. I didnt even think about that. Was just trying to pass the time and thought I was hurt bad. I was pretty shook up. The whole barely breathing thing for that long scared me

But then I thought "who would be posting requests to save his cars with lead in their chest?
But it's even worse! Your sitting there thinking your car killed you, making said request! :wtf: I'd have been figuring out how I could blow the car up before my ticket expired. LOL

We spent the last 5 days getting pounding in a boat trying to fish halibut out of Ketchikan. Few hali's but an azzload of crab. Sipping an Old Fashioned in north Idaho at the moment.
I'm from Anchorage.......

I was checking tire clearances at full lock to lock and full suspension travel. Everything was bolted down. Or so I thought. I haven’t looked yet but I’m guessing I left a nylock loose somewhere and it backed off with all the movement I was doing.

Morning!
Another hot day today.
Clean block, install oil pan and put the rest back together. Have to weld exhaust back together too. Think i will put driveshaft in Fargo this morning. As hot as its going to be, there will be no working on it later today.
