18" Wheel help

-
Anyone rolling gold colored wheels. I see a good deal on some new in box enkie RPF's, 18x8.5 et+40 x 4 =$699. As I said, they are gold in color, might look good on a black car

looks great, I like the deeper dish, but that doesn't allow tire rotation front to rear...a 3" wider rear end would take care of that....XJ 8 1/4" rears are 3" wider....
That's certainly an option, I'm working with what I got. Someday I may move the springs in board and widen the wheels which makes rotation a moot point. But, you are correct.

So here is another curve ball.. I just found a B-Body 8.75 it says 68-70, will the 489 center section off of my a-body unit interchange?
The B-Body already has BBP axles and i have the complete drum brake setup coming tomorrow.

Will everything else lineup as far as the leaf springs and driveshaft?

Thanks,

perches need to move in 1/2" on each side (center to center is 43" for A body, 44" for B)...if you already have an 8.75 or even an 8.25" rear, the driveshaft should work.

the B body rear being 3" wider will limit tire size in the back unless you go higher offset. when I measured clearances on my duster, the stock SBP 7.25" was 57.125" wide, and the wheels were almost perfectly centered in the wheelwell. with a 60.125" rear, with typical mopar +1/4" offset (4.25" backspace on a 7" rim), anything bigger than a 225 out back would require trimming or rolling the rear wheelwell flange on my duster

Yes, the 489 pumpkin will interchange fine.

The nice thing about the wider B-Body axle is you might be able to use the same wheel on the rear as the front if they are both higher offset. That's how I can run a square 17x8 +30 setup.

That's exactly what i want to do.

Exactly!

I run a 68-70 B-body rear axle in my Duster. You do have to move the spring perches, and anyone that tells you otherwise is a shade tree hack. The good news is, if you're moving the perches, get a DoctorDiff 1/2" spring offset kit and move them to 42" C-C and get some more room for tires.

I run a staggered set up on my Duster, but my 18x9's up front have a +35 offset and my rear wheels are 18x10 with a+38 offset. So it would be easy to run the same wheel/offset front and back on any of the Sport body cars with a B-body rear axle.
