What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today?

A couple new parts came today. Got the trim rings for the rear 15" ralleyes from Summit and a master cylinder heat shield from Mancini.

The Doug's headers are really close to the master cylinder, I'm hoping the heat shield will help divert heat away and not just add more metal to soak up the heat, lol.

I have a similar (same?) heat shield. It works!!

I rebuilt my original Thermoquad 4973s after it being off the car since around 1994! Shout out to Woodruff Carb who rebuilt the baseplate and repaired my frozen and broken off air fuel mixture screws!

Not today, but yesterday. I got to replace a lower radiator hose on my 2008 Town & Country in a parking lot, while laying in the puddle it created! I was two hours from home, but luckily my parents live close by, so my dad was able to cart me around to get the parts and tools I needed.

That's some tough sledding!

Yesterday I drove the car for the first time since 1997, and put about 20 miles on it. A few kinks to work out, but no failures. There’s no interior, but it’s mobile while I work on that.

I changed up the graphic again on my air cleaner. I decided I like this version better, with the brighter colors and the vintage cuda art.

Trying to button up a 7.25 to 8.25 rearend swap. It took me a few hours to get a rusty, frozen E brake cable out of the 7.25 as the 8.25 was missing one. I got freeded up and back in working order. What a job.

Removed the interior to start floorboard repairs. One heck of a rats nest in there. Bastards ate most of the build sheet. The floors rotted from the inside out so it’s not as bad as it could be.

I set-up my new Eastwood 180 Welder. I had an ancient, well use Lincoln 125 Mig that was sketchy at best and had a mind of its own. I wanted to make sure my 8.75 rear spring relocation project stays together.

Removed the dash pad and started attacking the rust on the dash. It still blows my mind how rusty the inside of the car got when the exterior is rock solid. Decades sitting outside with leaking windows turned it into a terrarium.

I built a mobile rack to hold the engine while I attach the flywheel, clutch and transmission. With the engine hoist and leveling bar, I hope to be able to install the engine/trans package together.
