Edelbrock performer intake manifold for a 318

You must have gotten there before I did because it's been sold. BUMMER.
I bought it, drove it back to California, and already sold it for $5000 more than I payed for it.

I’m yankin your chain but you gotta strike while the iron is hot on a good deal. If you hesitate for a second they’re gone. And remember if you get one and end up not liking it, you can always re sell it. You ain’t stuck with it.

True

per edelbrock on their website .97" x 1.95"

the 318 heads i last measured (1968 units) were 1.92 i did not bother measuring the width because my concern was only with the height for gasket sealing purposes, but they were close to that as well.

are you concerned about a mismatch?
Miss match what? How would that even be possible, no car no motor?

nothing wrong with green darts , i've had three green darts , all 69's , one gt , two gts's , still got one gts # matching 340 auro air disks 3.54 ls

very true.

in the last 6 months that Dan's been super tuning his minivan i done bought four a bodies and i'm *still* under his budget! and i sold one of those immediately on a "offer you can't refuse" kinda deal.

have i driven the equivalent of a cross country trip to get these cars? yes.
have i spent countless hours chasing down leads and only winding up with dead ends? yes.
have i spent a staggering amount of time and energy scouring c'list and offerup? of course.
have i driven 6 hours one way to go see something that was clearly misrepresented? also yes.

but that's part of the work; good cars don't just fall in your lap. most of the time.

if you see something that is a good deal and meets your criteria you best jump on that like a bird on a june bug, otherwise you're destined to be "no car man".

If you bought 4 A bodies under my budget then I'd say that you bought junk basket cases.

As far as a mismatch Mopar used 360 TQ and some Quadra Jets on 318 and 360. State Police cars here for some time had 318 4bbl with 360 intake and TQ.
They ran fine. So did my 340 Challenger 340 with a small port Performer and J Heads.

You'll probably have more into them than what they are worth.
That's a given- if you don't accept that up front, you need to find a different hobby.
That said, he was being facetious- deals are out there for those willing to put in the time and legwork.

we all do. that's just the cost of business.

pro tip: if you're worried about that, then you better go collect stamps or start a knitting circle. this hobby is expensive and it's not getting any cheaper. and if you're incapable of doing any of your own work, then good FN luck on ever getting, upgrading and keeping car on the road at a reasonable price.

that being said, every car i've bought in the last six months i could flip tomorrow and make money. not get rich money, but i'm not underwater on any of them. i don't say this to toot my own horn, but more as a clarification that the deals are out there-- you just have to go find them.

but this is all jibber jabber. you're making lists of parts for cars you don't even own in the event of one day you're gonna. which ain't gonna happen because tracking down a car and getting a good deal is hard work, and you don't wanna put in that time and effort; instead having a whinge about getting scooped on some deal that you probably would've found some lame excuse not to buy anyway.

only partially facetious, there's a kernel of truth in every fish tale. ;D
