My ‘66 Valiant Convertible at CTC Cars & Coffee

That is a really nice ride. I did (the whole nine yards, in 1979-80) a 66 Sedan, 225/Torqueflite that I bought for $50.00, for my wife to drive. Wound up driving it from Florida to California, (July 1980) where it was put on a ship headed for Guam when I got stationed there. A guy at the Guam...

    Washer tank.

Help! I believe it was Saturday, I had to be somewhere important and tried to contact the seller. He was selling a windshield washer tank. My conversations had reached their limit (and I still haven't figured out how to delete them) and I had to go. I have since tried to find the post, looking...

    [WANTED] Slant 6 carburetor

I may have what you are looking for, let me check my stash, to make sure I still have it. It came off of my running 225. Now a four barrel system. Send me a PM, I'm trying to delete (without success) my conversation box limit. Norm

    Lost post

Looking for a "for sale post" I saw late last night for a 64-65 4 speed "hump" transmission tunnel for sale. Any idea where it is posted or has it been removed? Norm

Strange Ticking Noise is coming from my transmission?

Could very well be a loose or cracked flex plate.

    Rear shock difference

Rear shock difference, A body, (Drag racing shocks) for an automatic vs 4 speed? I'm looking at some MOPAR drag racing shocks for sale by another member that was posted for an A-body "automatic." Some places list the shock by part number for an automatic and another site, by part number doesn't...

[WANTED] 1964 Valiant 7 1/4 Rear End Parts Needed

Here a while back, I had the "whole ball of wax," for free...No takers. It and a bunch of other un-wantd stuff went to the scrap yard. (I know that's not much help to you) There was some 7 1/4s posted on the forum recently, some free, if not mistaken. Should be easy to get what you need.

    273 or 225?

(2 1965 Barracudas, /6 vs 273.) I had the same path you are faced with. I went with the /6, which is still an ongoing project. The engine is ready to be installed and run. Head and block work, cam (Hughes), intake (Offy 4 barrel), headers (Clifford), N2O, etc. If I were to start over...I would...

    Charging circuit, 1964 Barracuda

Are you saying that you want to wire the output of the alternator directly to the battery? By-passing the VR? If so you will have to incorporate an on-off switch and a way to indicate the amount of charge the battery has achieved, so you can turn of the alternator output. If you wire it directly...

    Posting pictures.

Probably the wrong place, like everything else lately. I have been unable to post pictures when using the "start a conversation" mode. Starting a conversation is not a problem, but when I try to reply and attach a picture, I get that small widow to "add photos" and it will not accept a "copy...

    Possible rod knock?

"What TT5.9mag said". You want to take the element out into the sunlight and have a good look. Bearing material doesn't always show up in "big pieces." I've seen bearing material look like gray sludge.

    273 upgrade to 4bbl?

IMHO....upgrading to the new intake and four barrel will absolutely add some "spunk," as long as you don't overdo the CFM output of the carb you use. If it was my choice, since you have the intake off, pull the radiator and then the timing cover, valve covers and push rods. Pull the lifters...
