    Closed chamber heads will only be a benefit [ over open chamber ] if the piston crown comes to within 0.060" [ or less, which is better ] of the head.

    I do not think 72 340 valve covers came with heat shields on passenger one...like the 68 through 71 Style but I can't say for sure...but the driver cover definitely had tall rear wire loom holder to clear 4bbl linkage...but I see AMD remade them and added heat shield

    If the order can go to the floor the fluid has to be going somewhere. If it's not leaking, the master must be bypassing. Pop the cover off and with the engine running have someone watch for fluid flowing into or out of the front or rear resovour
