    stamped steel LA rocker arms

Yes, there were heavier gauge rockers avail, I also have a set. I punched the pushrod thru a few rockers, usually on a missed shift, the piston would spank a valve, witness mark on piston confirmed. Carried spare rockers in glove box beside the spare ballast resistor.

    Idle Transfer Slot on secondaries?

The reason the idle screws no longer work is you're out of range of their operation and into the T slot. The T slot and idle are fed from the same source so as one increases the other diminishes.

    [WANTED] Dakota Convertible

I can check on the status of these trucks. There’s also a couple more there. The white one in the garage is a beautiful truck, and there’s a red one in another barn that’s probably close to it. The red one outside is ok, for a range of different prices and condition.

Putting up a shop in CA - fire department being a pain

Around here, anything 120 sq ft or smaller requires no city notification. A neighbor might call on a structure and code enforcement might come out with a tape measure, but that's where it ends.

    Super Victor port matching

Will be curious to see if it fits with your hood. I thought( at one point) the super Victor is no taller than an Edelbrock air gap, which I had on my old 360 at one point and it fit fine, but I think I talked myself out of believing it..lol Be cool if some had both and could measure. I know what...

    [WANTED] Dakota Convertible

There are a couple dakota convertible groups on Facebook that have some posted for sale. I bought one I'm in the process of putting a 340 in. Make sure you get one with good rubber seals and door glass is good because none of the stuff is reproduced and very hard to find.

Does this prove David Vizard's 128 lsa formula ?

I never have looked at it like "one LSA will make more power than another". I've always been of the mind that a tight LSA does one thing and a wide one does another. I don't necessarily think one is better. They are different and do different things. Get on any dyno sim and all things equal, the...

Stop in for a cup of coffee

Yeah problem I have is the kit that came with the Gerst, which is perfectly fine except that the hub center of the brake rotor isn’t tapered and doesn’t clear the inside of the my wheels. I’m running a 5mm spacer to allow it to seat for now but long term I need to explore options. There’s tons...

    Super Victor port matching

Thanks Don. Had I done a better job with the Victor I probably would have went with it. Since I had to get another intake anyway the Super Victor was the obvious choice. I'm hoping it will fit under a flat hood but it's fine if I have to get a scoop.

More good news for the ford guys

Ford heads have traditionally had bad exhaust ports. The Windsor were too small, the Clevelands were horrible, FE not great. I think even the SOHC and boss 429s had complaints about the exhaust. I think the 429/460s had the best exhausts. Now with great aftermarket offerings for all of the...

Does this prove David Vizard's 128 lsa formula ?

Thanks for posting, I don't think this table is great evidence that tighter LSAs will makes more power or accelerate the car more quickly. This is because the testing was not done fairly. This is not uncommon. It is hard, time consuming, and costly to do so. This will generally not happen in...

    Super Victor port matching

Their competition porting service starts at $2K though they do offer a less-involved 'intermediate' service for around $1,200. Of course they suggest the comp. service first! Just realize that to get the best results with either choice you ship them your heads. Shipping a set of heads back and...
