you can re drill the flywheel bolt pattern. the bigger difference is the slant uses a 122 tooth flywheel the 318 uses a 130 tooth flywheel. the 318 flywheel is a bigger diameter, the slant flywheel will not mesh with the starter in the 318 flywheel housing.

Agree, folks need to use some common sense. $300 for a 3:55 sure grip and that includes shipping. There has to be a catch.

Gear mesh pattern and backlash are the two key bench indicators for determining if a differential is set up properly. There is also a torque to turn target but that is for setting the pinion bearing preload.
