    /6 rebuild advice

My vote would be to repair the 6. You could put in a mild cam and the Super Six 2V intake. Split exhaust manifolds like Dutra. Use an X pipe to keep the noise down. Rusty would be a good one to listen on the slant.

    Doug's '68 Dart

Haven’t made much progress in the last five months. Really needed some motivation. Ran into a young Mopar aficionado (and his dad) at the tire shop with his Duster (or maybe a Demon, didn’t get a close look) and the smile on his face when we talked cars gave me some inspiration. I’ll try to...

Cranks but doesn't start using the key. Starts when using a remote starter switch.

You said it was stock, with points, so the diagram is misleading. No power runs through the resistor during start when using points. What you don't understand about 67Dart273's explanation is what you need to understand to trace the problem. The current path from the ignition switch to the...

    Wrong size bushings???

Glad this thread is still open. After a pretty extensive search, I came upon this thread and in my excitement and haste, I ordered the wrong bushings. I ordered RB-60's and then later our of nowhere, it hit me that I hadn't even measured. Low and behold, the front leaf bushings on my 72 Demon...

    Which Fram Oil Filter.

I don't know how pennzoil is today but I remember my dad getting a letter on the problems that people were having with pennzoil, mostly lots of sludge build up. I think valvoline is good oil. Main thing is maintaining your equipment

Got zapped by my Engine !

Yea with my heart I’ll just shut the damn thing off before f’n with it. I’ve been buzzed a few times over the years but I don’t grip a distributor cap to adjust the timing anymore. Old heart likes to go out of rhythm once in a while on its own, doesn’t need any help.

727 Converter In All the Way?

I lifted the engine off the stand today and test fit the converter in the new crank. The converter slid up against the flex plate fine, so I pulled it back off and put some clay down inside the crank. Then bolted on the converter this time and pulled it back off to see what the clay looked like...

Stop in for a cup of coffee

Did a little more work on the truck. Oil change, grease job. Window trim and rearview mirror. It needs to be lower as rear window is low, so not much distance behind truck. Moved gas pedal. Its worse than it was before i modified it. So, revisiting that. And litte to no resistance on pedal. Not...

    A-833 2.47 1st gear change to 3.09

For first gear selection I use a combination of trans X final = about 10 to 1. So if you want good fuel economy and quiet operation on the hiway, you would choose a taller final drive to keep the RPM down. That then requires a lower first gear. A few years ago, BMW was using fairly tall final...

Shifter Knob - I Messed Up Something Simple!

Well I really messed up. I was re-installing the center console on my 67 barracuda and screwed down the shifter knob too tight. Now it will not loosen and it is down too far to allow for the shifting. The cable just turns and will not break free from the button. Any ideas on how to get...

David Vizard - Which to prioritize - PORT FLOW or PORT VELOCITY?

Yes I know. Ideally but obviously it ain't as sensitive as some make it out. People bring velocity a lot especially warn about too little velocity never really hear warnings about too much though (which is a thing), but those that warn seem to have no idea what the right velocity or csa or...
