    67 dart GT video RUFFIAN

it's cool, and it was innovative at the time. but there's a whole *** bucket full of choices made that i don't care for. granted some of those are for the whole "shock & awe" of a GM build, or general TV chicanery, some were likely due to constraints of time/money/ease of work, some are personal...

    72 duster resto

it's a divisive topic... (sorry, i couldn't resist) there's some folks that swear there's no other way to do it; while others maintain that iffin' it ain't in the FSM it ain't the way to do it. one camp will proclaim that they've been doing it one way since jesus was a private and it never...

depends on what your bracket set up is over there. some of them like to invade the sovereign air space of dipsticktia. tons of options online. just avoid chrome.

Help with broken 66 273 Dipstick Tube?

if you have the motor open, say to swap or reseal the oil pan... i'd just flip that bish over and knock the mother out from the inside with a push rod.

Best cam for the street both power & sound

i don't think any of those cams are especially conducive to midrange torque. i like the numbers on the summit cam but don't like the 114 lobe, the eddy cam i'd like more in something with cubes and compression, the comp seems to be the best pick of the bunch but even then i'd err toward...

    Mild 383 build

+1 on that. i have a local guy that does mine and it's right around 250 for inspection and set up. which when you're dropping 2~3K isn't all that bad in the grand scheme of things.

    Mild 383 build

well, there's your problem-- you have a BFH in your engine! all kidding aside, RRR is on the money. i'd sit down and run the numbers to see how much dosh it would be to make those heads work for what you want/need vs what a new aluminum set would run ya.

    Mild 383 build

unless you already have worked over stock heads or a smoking deal on a set falls into your lap, don't even bother with steel heads and head straight to the aftermarket aluminum heads aisle at the market.

Don't read if you're close minded

do you think any of that was a function of people not understanding or having the ability to tune the TQ? not questioning the veracity of them going faster with the smaller carb, but merely wondering aloud if it was just because it was so new that the secrets had yet to be unlocked.

    Mild 383 build

have you calculated your compression ratio with these slugs? they're listed at 8:1 which by my very scientific WAG probably puts them in the hole a fair bit. that negates a lot of the benefits of your closed chamber head and the quench it (theoretically) brings to the table. but cut the heads...

    Brake Pedal Diagnostics

there's so many possibilities here. the pedal generally drops a little once the car is on but excessive travel or sponginess is not acceptable. if you haven't already, make sure that your rear brakes are adjusted properly. double check the bleed and make sure you have zero-point-zero air in...
