David Vizard - Which to prioritize - PORT FLOW or PORT VELOCITY?

That's funny some one else saw the gaping inconsistencies I pointed out. And Maybe I should post the video of Kaase sticking his finger in an intake port in a running engine so you can see the reversion and how far it travels back up the port? Pay your money and target what ever you want.

You error in your assessment. He already knows it all. He doesn’t need to figure anything out. The sad thing is he won’t even lift a finger to type out how we urchins can know as much as he does.

    Shuts off when hot?

Not many things with points set up that will fail just because they got a little warm. Maybe the condenser. If there's no choke, and it starts easily, could be too rich when it warms up. Normally (in my experience) too rich will die when load is put on it, not in neutral.

    Shuts off when hot?

I tried 2 different professionally restored AVS carbs with the same results so I put my known to be good 750 Holley on it. Runs smoother and better than the other carbs as I wasn't able to get them adjusted to my liking. Idles well, takes fuel and revs well, but just dies after it gets warmed...

    SSR-756RS elgin ss rockers

That I am not sure about. Mine was converted before I bought it off my friend. I don't see why it wouldn't work though. Here is a part number for magnum screw in studs and the other pictures are of the prw set up when I had EQ heads

You really just like being a troll don't you? this is exactly what you wanted a bunch of people riled up at you. You have zero intentions at an honest conversation, I use to think you where interested in figuring all this out, but obviously not.

    Shuts off when hot?

No choke on it, not flooding. Haven't made it out of the shop, brand new build, won't stay running long enough to get out of the shop...

On my engines? I never see reversion in them. But of course I use slow, lazy ports and raw fuel to the cylinders so there is that.

Plug wire boots for Schumacher Tri-Y

Iirc, the passenger side plugs/boots are pretty close to the inner fender, at least with the headers I have, I don't think those 45s would fit, they also look longer before the bend.

Any reason you jumped the tracks? My headers are easily 1200 bucks. I’d never do that.

    Shuts off when hot?

choke not opening? Choke should pull off a little bit immediately upon starting. Then open further based on temperature of the choke's bimetal coil.

Pay your money and target what ever velocity you want. P.s. when was the last time you looked at that pic of your intake manifold with the evidence of reversion?

I need to borrow a 67 up console tach mounting base

I had some made. I tested them polishing the part and they did not do an adequate job. So in the future I'll have them available unfinished. Like a sand cast finish. I'm going to see a local polisher but it will add about 50.00 per unit. Pm me if you want to buy one. I have made the plastic...

Hysteric - you are arguing with yourself. Nobody here is making the presumption you think they (we) are. Its fine to think about what is probably happening in a real pulsing engine compared with a dry or a wet bench. Nobody is arguing with that either. The strawman statements are wear...

Apparently it's not his job to know, just to harass people when making reasonable choices for their builds and to show them how some car made x hp & e.t. with "smaller".

David Vizard - Which to prioritize - PORT FLOW or PORT VELOCITY?

Much of engineering is based on emperically derived formulas and tables that have known relationships. It relates to science but is not the same describing relationships strictly on physics and chemistry. This is the way stuff gets done. This why Pipemax provides good guidance at the same...
