Generally yes, I have had great luck with them and they are relative cheap at any auto parts store. Also easy to fit and mount.

Mopar voltage regulator for race car

I use one of the tiny Japanese Alternators that are 1/2 the size and more output. I run a switch on the dash with a single wire to energize the field. If we are running in Class and the race is close occasionally we will shut it off in High gear. Once in Denver at the Nationals, I won a...

Gen 3 block weights for those interested

The earlier ones (starting with 34 or 36) are heavier and in my experience sonic test consistently better, Ring Seal trumps even 50 lbs extra weight every time on the race track.

John Force in a bad bad wreck today

Please if you are people of Faith, keep praying for his full recovery as I am. They more I read about his circumstances, the more I am skeptical of his return to the Drivers seat. Hopefully he will recover enough to help his team at the track!

Gen 3 block weights for those interested

We just put a Ritter block into our 73 Roadrunner J/SA as we have used up our R stuff. Only real strange thing was no on Oil provision on the back of the block. I think Jon had to pick up the oil pressure inside the Bell housing area.

    SS/K 1965 Valiant

I currently have a set of heads and Intake at my old friend Don Little's shop. However, he is slowing down and looking at retirement as he is close to my age. He is a Former NHRA World Champion and just won the big race at LVMS last month I would pay Gregg to do the research and R&D and it...

    SS/K 1965 Valiant

Yes they often are, generally they do not every leak, BUT I do not want to spend a bunch of money on cracked heads and take a chance. Gregg Luneack who does my 302 Heads passed away last month so I am really up the Creek without a Paddle. Looking forward to seeing you again!

Got down to Last 4 when they finally finished Wintersnationals (Rained Out)

I was embarrassing terribly RED in the round of Four. They ran at night after the regular program was completed. With my Cataracts in my good eye, the tree is just a bunch of glaring blurry lights to me as it comes down in the dark. Normally if the races run late, I just put the car in the...

You do a pretty darn good job of it! It is now at 201 HP down from 235 HP as I recall. Can you run the 302 heads as they helped my 318 almost 3 tenths over my old heads.

Got zapped by my Engine !

I wired myself into the 220/3Phase wiring in my old shop years ago!! i learned how to weld with a large screwdriver for a moment. It made the MSD 7AL/Pro Power Coil that I have entertained now and then seem like a little tickle.

I’ll bet a lot of wheels are turning since the John Force wreck

I have watch guys get killed in Sportmans cars although not near as many relative to the number of runs made down the track. Before every single run at National and Divisional Races, our beloved Pastors at "Racers for Christ" pray with us before we go down to track. If you think our Sport of...

    Timing curves

If you bend the tab out on the spring = be sure it does not hit or run on anything especially the screws that hold to clips that retain the cap. If need be, you can grind or replace them with shorter ones. This is a trick that i have been using since early 1960s.

Got down to Last 4 when they finally finished Wintersnationals (Rained Out)

Well, I finally got a chance to open the May National Dragster from last Month. There was a nice picture of me and the Wagon (5/2024 pg. 128). I was able to get by the current World Champ (he was .003 red) and a current Div. champ/Former World Champ (I was .01 to his .03 and .008 stripe) and...

I’ll bet a lot of wheels are turning since the John Force wreck

Richard Petty was not racing in NASCAR due to rule changes that made it impossible to compete with a Chrysler product that year back in the 60's. He built a Mid 60's Hemi Cuda exhibition drag car (43 JR.) to keep his hand in racing. He lost control of it and it crashed through the flimsy guard...

I’ll bet a lot of wheels are turning since the John Force wreck

I understand your concern for spectator safety and the repercussions for deaths. It was 10 years ago or a bit more while my son and I were watching Top Fuel between rounds of Stock/SS on top end. A rear wheel came off Anton Browns Dragster and flew into the spectators around to fence...

    SS/K 1965 Valiant

Matt's car is really running well! My close friend Gregg Luneauk did extensive R and D on the newer (302 maybe) heads and prepared a pair for a SS/K 273 before he passed away. I wonder if those heads were for Matt's car.
