Z bar just broke off in my hand

Is there a trick to getting the Z bar on? I am having a heck of a time. The bushings keep falling off of the pivot when I try to get the bar over the mount on the fender side. I have the bushing, spring and mount inserted into the other side of the bar and I was going to fasten it to the motor...

Clutch linkage broke on the wagon

So I drove down to Classic Industries new showroom in Huntington last Saterday and picked up the parts. I was putting them on on Labor day when the Z Bar broke. Now I need to get that fixed. The Classic Industries guys were very cool though and the place is nice.

Z bar just broke off in my hand

Hi, So my clutch pedal started to not come all the way up. Then it sprang to the floor. I went and got a clutch fork adjustment kit from Classic industries at their new showroom in Huntington yesterday. I put on the new bushing in the fork, mine was missing as was the fork retune spring, so I...

Clutch linkage broke on the wagon

All the parts I find are for the BB and small block, will either of these work on my slant? The shop manual does not differentiate, so I think this should all be the same. Thanks Tim

Clutch linkage broke on the wagon

So the thing like this has nothing on the end of it. Should it? and if so where do I get one? Actually there is a nut on there towards the middle of the shaft, but that is it.

Clutch linkage broke on the wagon

I did get it to start in first gear yesterday, but the hood was up, otherwise I would have driven it the 15 miles home in first gear through downtown LA traffic... maybe. But I did not get it to start again in gear and it still sort of scared me. Any guesses what broke? And how do I fix it?

Clutch linkage broke on the wagon

The wife's minivan is in the shop so I dropped her and the kids at Union Station in downtown LA and I start the car to go back to work and the pedal pops down to the floor. I pull it up and it will pop to the up position, but nothing in between. I looked under the hood and the pin thing (I don't...

    Pics of Wagon fill tube

I have to fill it up with the nozzle up side down and by hand. But I think the PO replaced mine with a chunk of hose. It has 2 hose clamps on it. Maybe that is the reason for the gas smell. I need to get a pic of it.

    Pics of Wagon fill tube

Hi, Can any of the wagon owners post pics taken of the fill tube under the floor/spare cover? Mine seems like it is some goofy make shift thing and I was hoping to see what the other wagons look like. I will try to get pics of mine tonight

My parking garage hates my car

I am going to try the wrist sweat bands and maybe the synthetic oil. Thanks for all of the tips. Just want to represent the real cars in the garage here. There is a woman here with an old Oldsmobile, 68 I think. She said she has had it for 10 years or so and they have given her some crap now and...

My parking garage hates my car

This is pretty much what I did. They are leaving me alone for now. I think the problem was that I hade just filled the tank before I came in that morning. It does smell if I fill it more than 12 gallons. I am going to take a look at the seals this weekend. Also I spoke too soon on the oil...

My parking garage hates my car

So my car has a hard hose/plastic tube under the board that covers the spare. It runs from the filler to the tank I think. It is held on by hose clamps. Is this normal? Is this the leak I am looking for? I will try to get pics up soon on the oil leak, I lost my original filler cap and the...

My parking garage hates my car

Sounds like a plan. The one thing I am sure it is not, is the cap. I got a new one from DamnRaider here and it seals great. Before I got that though I did not realize I had lost my old cap and as I came up the 3 floors of the garage making 3 or 4 right hand U-turns I guess I splashed gas all...

My parking garage hates my car

Hi, This has turned into a real problem. It has been this way for the almost 2 years I have had the wagon, but the facility guy here at work came up yesterday and said that they might not let me park in the underground garage any more. And parking anywhere else here in Santa Monica is a real...

Rear wheel cylinder blew out on the way to work today

I got it to the local shop last night using the E-Brake. It was only a few blocks, but it was still a little hairy. I had just met the guy, his daughter and mine are on a softball team together, and he had commented on the wagon. Turns out he has a shop near my work, so I called him yesterday...

Rear wheel cylinder blew out on the way to work today

So is this a relatively easy job? Or should I have a garage do it. Brakes are the one thing I worry about. If I screw up something and the car wont run, no one gets hurt. If I screw up the brakes and someone gets hurt I could not forgive myself.
