Sounds like an amp draw issue if its running as hot as you say it is. Check to see if there is an obstruction someplace. If no obstruction then you might just have a bad/shorting pump motor. Good luck.

I tryed up'ing my carb with no luck. Was running an 850 on my 400inch small block and went to a 950 Quick Fuel carb. Ran EXACTLY the same numbers, but I still run the 950. Figure if I ever make a change that will need a bigger carb, I've got it. Hope you find the numbers you want. Good luck.

If you have an MSD box with a rev limiter check the pill. I've seen guys have a bad 7000 pill that would activate at a lower rpm. OR check the fuel VOLUME. See how long it takes to fill a one gallon jug from the pressure side if your fuel pump (if electric). Wish I could remember how long it was...

THAT is a deal. I think Jegs sells it for 8 buckes a quart. The last time I bought it I got it from Napa Auto Parts but they had to order it from their Nevada warehouse. Almost worth going to the nationals just for the oil. LOL

I found that with a little taller front tire I was more consistant parking the car in the beams which made my RT's more consistant. But a short tire does make a big differance in how fast you leave. IMHO

I run Valvoline 20/50. Part number VV851. Says right on the bottle "NOT FOR STREET USE". Has lots of goodness inside (zinc and more). Oil filter is a K & N. I like the little nut on the back. Makes it easier to take off.

My 400in small block only tachs 7100 at 124 mph with 4.56's. And it's pretty snappy from a dead stop!!:wink:

If you're gonna run a stock or close to stock motor the 340 will most likely have more compression. That will make more HP. The 360 will have more cubic inches. That's more torque. If you want to go stroker motor you can get more cubes out of a 340. They already come with more bore than a 360...

Over 500 passes on my Crane Gold rockers and have yet to have a failure with them. Shift at 6800 and through the lights at 7000, every pass.

I have a 67 Dart GT. No motor or trans but everything else is there and in pretty good shape. Has a new passenger quarter put on. No big damage, no rust (Calif car). Does need a front bumper. All interior is there, buckets, console, rear seat everything. All glass in the car, no damage there...
