    Not an LA question, POLY

100% yes, it will work. I did the same swap on my 65 Fury 318 poly.

    Value of a 340

When I was looking to build an engine for my Duster about 10 years ago, I had the choice of a 340 core for $1000, or a 360 core for $100. The build was going to add up the same either way, so I decided to "save" myself $900.

Parts Store Rant, the other side of the story

So, everybody has thoughts on what makes a good or bad counterguy, but what makes a good or bad customer?

Parts Store Rant, the other side of the story

It doesn't help that the catalogs are getting worse, too. Raybestos used to have great listings with tons of info. Now they don't even tell you drum diameter, or cylinder bore sizes. Looking up some Monroe shocks the other day, two choices, and all the description told me was "71223 is a...

Parts Store Rant, the other side of the story

Whatever you do, don't take me too seriously. My original post was late last night when I couldn't sleep. I need to remember to put a "May contain Sarcasm" disclaimer on my posts.

Parts Store Rant, the other side of the story

How many times have you seen somebody on a messageboard rant about the uselessness of their local parts store? Maybe I notice it more, because I'm one of those guys behind the counter. Not always, but sometimes I think it might actually be the customer. Here's my free advice. Try to know...

Why John Dodge said the Ford wasn't a real car

I heard it called the best business deal in history. The Dodge Brothers were able to negotiate a sweet deal because Ford's track record was terrible, he'd just gone bankrupt, and nobody would finance him. So, $13,000 in parts bought the Dodge's a 10% share in the new Ford Motor Company. When...

    Crank vs. rear wheel

I used to work at a dyno shop years ago, we had a brand new Mustang MD250 chassis dyno. Mustang was VERY proud of the accuracy of their machines. But, our customers were always questioning the 'low' numbers. We never seemed to match the 'magazine horsepower' numbers, go figure. What would...

    Brake pedal stays down?

Pedal hangs up whether its running or not. I forgot to mention, that this is a new development. Brakes worked fine last weekend when I drove the car last.

    Brake pedal stays down?

When I step on the pedal in my Aspen the pedal feels normal, but the pedal stays down after a take my foot off, and the brakes stay applied. I can pull the pedal up, and the brakes release. I'm not sure where to start. Pedal linkage? Master cylinder? Booster(seems doubtful)? Collapsed...

    bad lifters

I just did a little looking at pushrod lengths (I'm wasting company time). Seems more like a difference between maufacturers rather than 318 vs 360. For non-adjustable stock style pushrods Comp says 7.500", Sealed Power says 7.571", and Clevite shows 7.51".

Wheel paint for Refinishing factory rally wheels

PlastiKote Dull Aluminum Laquer # T41 seems like a good enough match for me, so I've used it on at least 4 sets of rally wheels. Also looks good on cop wheels...

    A case of mistaken identity

The Valiant emblems on my 70 Duster caused all kinds of confusion. And as it turns out, having Duster emblems still doesn't clear things up for some people... Some of my other past cars: 79 Aspen = Nova 68 Dart = SuperBee or Roadrunner 65 Fury = "I didn't know Cadillac made a station wagon"...

    Josh barnett you A- HOLE

Wasn't Brock's display at the end of the fight with Mir a textbook example of roid-rage? C'mon he was just about foaming at the mouth while screaming and spitting out his mouthguard. That's after getting in Mir's face after the fight was over. It looked to me like either drugs, or he just...

    Thinking about a 360 magnum?Some ????

LA's use solid ball ends on the pushrods. Rockers are oiled through the rockershafts. I beleive Magnums have hollow pushrods, and the rockers get oil from the lifter through the pushrods (like a brand-x).

    Valve Cover & gasket question

Here's my first question(s) for the board. I've got choices for my freshly painted 360, chrome factory valve covers, or aluminum M/Ts? And Felpro rubber gaskets, or the ribbed rubber/metal-core Mopar gaskets? Which combo should I use, with what kind of sealant, and why?
