[FOR SALE] Fiberglass Hood with Aero Scoop for 70 to 72 Duster/Scamp

It had a tunnel ram with two 660s on it for a while. I will measure it tomorrow. There was a trim piece put in when we went to one carb on the Indy motor, but it is easily removed. I will be in San Bernadino Saturday and could bring it. i consult in that area about once a week.

    15x8 w/ 4.5” BS on front/good handling size?

exactamundo. 15x7 is standard cop wheel (with 4.25 BS) and fits wonderfully, but you can't go much wider than 215 depending on ride height and aspect ratio. but then the issue is that with the smaller diameter rim you can't get much more backspace because you'll get into the tie rod or upper...

    Suggested wheel size for rear

Well,,,,,the rear will be approximately an inch narrower than stock . The perches will be approximately an inch closer together than stock . The rear will be an 8 3/4,,,,,cut down to an A body length,,,actually less than an A body is because the A body has an 52.6 rear tube to tube end...

    Holy Crap, Hot.

...cooler it's still hot enough to sap any motivation to do work. had to make an impromptu yard run to nab some wheels for the bmw project, 100* even in the parking lot. joint was like the surface of mars, eerily quiet with the far off noise of the dump sounding like weird outer space noises...

[FOR SALE] Fiberglass Hood with Aero Scoop for 70 to 72 Duster/Scamp

Could you measure where the hole in the hood starts (distance from the front) and the distance from the rear of the hood? Doing a tunnel ram soon and it may work if I remove the scoop.

    Stupid Drywall Question

I like that style. Looks like they left the abrasive off the corner too. I've never seen one like that in the stores I frequent. Most have one square edge and one 45 edge but has abrasive all over which is why I nip one of the edges off the 90. I'll have to keep an eye out for one like you show.

    Stupid Drywall Question

I use sanding sponges but the trick I learned was to use a set of scissors to cut the corner off the 90. It's too sharp and will dig out the corner and cut the tape. Cut it evenly to leave 1/8 or 1/4" wide gap between the paper sides. Later you can come back with some paper wrapped around a...

    Holy Crap, Hot.

Tell that to the guy waiting for a bus who just burst into flames. LOL. A few days ago, here in Topeka, it was 95 degrees with 82% humidity. I was outside doing yard work from 10:00-4;00. I had to stop. I was absolutely drenched.

    Overheating at idle

There is a LOT that contributes to rad efficiency. Copper tube rads are limited to tubes about 1/2" long because of copper's poor strength. Alum tubes are often 1 or 1.25" long. The extra length allows for much more fin area. Even though alum is not as good as radiating heat as copper, the great...
