    Nurse! We got a Bleeder...

If you sit in the (preferably concrete) driveway with pressure on the pedal, and it goes down, and it's not marking it's spot, it's gotta be the master.

Tips n tricks for exhaust install

You fancy. We always just did the time-honored open-header trip to the exhaust shop. That's a good looking car and it looks like you're having fun with it!

I ain't trying to be rude here, but are you sure you're looking at the damper correctly?

Any guesses as to what engine this intake fits?

That's an interesting setup, not unlike the V-boost on Yamaha's infamous V-max. Someone gave me a set of carbs off a V-max once. I figured out what they were and made a killing on eBay (back when it was fun to sell on eBay). Seems like that motor should be a screamer with that much top-end...

Is this a thing someone would want in a carb version?

    F**K YOU TAIWANESE/CHINESE MADE JUNK

I specifically held on to a chain hoist instruction manual from a past job, because the Engrish was so bad. It literally has a card you filled out 'for warranty'. With no address to mail it to.

Any guesses as to what engine this intake fits?

I had a couple other photos of it but they didn't take. The top half is completely hand fabbed aluminum sheet metal. The bottom half is all cast

Any guesses as to what engine this intake fits?

It's got a cast base with individual runners, and a fabbed sheet metal top with single four barrel flange, and what appears to be a Chevy air temp sensor screwed in the bottom. The runners appear to have mechanical injector holes drilled in them. Your guess is as good as mine. I'm wondering if...

Here you go, Piston area and force.

When it comes to displacement, no. Gotta disagree. Bigger pistons and longer strokes draw in more air (and fuel). Changing bore/displacement changes compression ratios in a given engine, and that's widely known. Compression ratio is a determination of potential pressures, all else being...

Here you go, Piston area and force.

I'm not arguing the internal combustion merits of the discussion at all. I see some people here using very general guidelines without including any of the additional constraints that really should be included. There's no replacement for displacement. I don't need to cite a book to prove that.

Here you go, Piston area and force.

I advise you to take a thermodynamics class and get back to us. Isn't he the guy that you were taking advice from on port timing awhile back? I also advise you to walk away. You're not conveying your position well, and even if you were, do you really think that anyone is reading all that? I...

Here you go, Piston area and force.

Remember, the area that is increased is also swept, so you're pulling in more air and fuel, compressing to only a fractionally larger area, etc, so all else being equal, you could see a significant increase in pressure alone

Here you go, Piston area and force.

Pressure is in pounds per square inch, psi. Literally, force per area 100 psi across ten square inches is 1000 pounds of force. 100 psi across twenty square inches is 2000 pounds of force. The tricky part is increasing the area without decreasing the pressure.

Cheap *** headers at it again!!

I had three days on a fresh polyurethane front end with BIG T-bars lol. In my case, the crown was between the tires. I'll never forget how fast the smile turned to a frown around that corner. The first corner I really tried carving with that combo lol

Cheap *** headers at it again!!

One time does not a crimp-free header make. I knew I was done with that crap when I went round a banked corner that had a VERY slight crown and it crimped em shut. A little extra compression in the suspension and a little less clearance between the tires was all it took, and I had six inches...

    Force Update

It sounds like they're being extra cautious, but I guess I look at it like this: If it's possible for the human body to be conditioned to the effects of extreme acceleration, whether positive or negative acceleration, it's going to be him. I hope he's OK. Tough week for the racing world....

John Force in a bad bad wreck today

Deep staging, my left foot. I know a few people in their 70's and most of 'em can't go 0.002 seconds without falling asleep. Hell, 99.99% of the population can't hit a reaction time close to anything required for that level of competition. The closest I ever got to a reaction time like that was...

    [WANTED] 74 clutch pedals

I remember from when I converted mine, the only real difference was that the pivot shaft was slightly longer on the clutch pedal version, and there was a very small brace welded into the hanger bracket. It's been twenty five years, but I remember this because I saw that brace and I thought I...
