    8 1/4 gears come out the back side like the 7 1/4. 8 3/4 the whole 3rd member comes out the front. Will not interchange. I don't believe the 8 1/4 was in 65 or 66

    Hey Zack, I rebuilt a few of these in my time. Not that hard. I have a manual ( somewhere) that was step by step. Cover had a FB barracuda pulling the wheels on the cover. Kits are cheap.

    If the plate fits the T/C. Maybe the trans isn't on the block correctly. Does the block have the guide pins in to line up the trans ?
