Its about time to start working on it again. I may even push for Carlisle.. :read2:
Id like to get a better set of fenders. I have a pair of 68's right now. I figured Id try for a nice set of 69's before I hack the markers out of these.
I also need quarters. you never know what someone may...
All better!! it was my engine wiring harness. I must have lost voltage somewhere, slapped in a repo harness and its all good! Thanks for everyones help!
Ok, thought id humor myself with another response. I know i wont diagnose it, i just needed somewhere to start. So far doesnt seem that it was the pick-up coil, although now i have a random backfire (pop) when i let off..........
So, i pulled the distirbutor last night (a new MP distributor a year ago) and noticed that the reluctor was a little ugly compared to what i beleive it should be; not to mention the air gap looks to be slightly larger than the recomended .008" gap. this could explain why its always been hard to...
I'll need to take a look to post correctly, But, I went with the wiring diagram for a 4 post resistor. I did it correctly according to the diagram but maybe something is up.
Is there a way to change out the pickup coil? or would i need a new distibutor?
I will take a look at how close the fuel line is, and i will also try the gas cap again (it didnt help in the driveway, but maybe i needed to drive it)
could i have toasted the pickup coil when i soldered with...
So, I took the car out today. Man, it was awesome on the highway. Cruised @ 80 mph for a while.
But i still got off and almost stalled at red lights. Then, i thought, maybe after it sitting for so long since November with only a few trips here and there (Legendary had my seat covers for a...
I'll update you guys later today. I had the carb rebuilt, and come to think of it, Its been hard to start ever since I dropped the stroker in. Is there a recommended float level to go by with certain jets? I do have the Owners book so i can check there too. Thanks guys!
And, i promise I will...
well, its not fresh. I mean it sat over winter, but ive filled up since then. I would think it would run this consistantly bad if it were fuel.... new filter too. I did just change out the ECU with a new cheapy one. It didnt seem to have an affect. The old one was melted a little though, I could...
Not a bad idea, I was just thinking of trying that actually..... Thats the only thing I havent tried, and i did some soldering on the connections, so its possible maybe something heated up too much?....
...trail.... which has lead to me taking the car out maybe twice on a real trip this year.
My latest issue is still pretty much the same, Ive got 34* total, 18* initial, 15psi vac. and i unhooked the vacuum advance this time to eliminate that. I put a 180 thermo in, didnt make a huge...
geuss i was reading a little too far back, I will post my Cam specs soon, I have the card around here. I was getting 120 lb readings all the way around i beleive, last time i checked........
at least Mopar3762 managed to insult everyone along with Red. I thought these were places people come for answers, not "You dont understand? why try, you never will......"
DGC333, that is the best explanation Ive ever seen. I understand what you are saying, but if only i could figure out all the little ethings about my engine in order to put that knowledge to good use. Not really sure what compression im running.
I need to go back over my numbers as well, but my mark moves a little as well Someone stated that if the damper bounces the chain is stretched, but it is not that old......
Im running a 1407 edelcbrock (750cfm)
Im doing some "tuning" and i have the jet/metering kit. I know that each application is different. Im running a stroked 360 and Im just wondering.... can anyone say if the primary jets are usually larger than the secondaries or vice versa? my "metering"...
Im curious too!! I just took it out for a spin. I had 34 total, but also reading around 36 initial. then i hooked up the advance and had 20 degrees. It wouldnt run when i lowered it anymore. I think i need to get a vacuum gauge.
Cool. im wondering though, if i set initial and then change it at full revs, how can i keep initial the same? wont turning the distributor twice change the previous setting?
That looks amazing!!!
Oh and i think i must have been looking way back in the post with the heater motor comment, I just meant for painting... :toothy10:
I hate when people go through the trouble of painting the engine bay and leave the Brake booster in or the heater and wiper motor...
