2001 Chevy 3500 quad cab dually 8.1 vortec Allison 5 speed. Greatest vehicle I’ve ever owned. I turbocharged the big block at 200,000 miles and it hasn’t missed a beat. It’s at 629,571 right now.
That’s the only right way to do it. We cut the whole roof off the cab of our truck when we did the cage.
You’re only halfway there! My 2001 has 629,000 miles on it.
Won’t matter what color the cage is when it’s covered in salt or dust. Just sayin.
Nice progress for sure. What were the hold ups? Did you find bars that weren’t welded?
Finally! I’ve been waiting for that specific update since I saw you mention it a long time ago. That’s the edlebrock jeep kit correct?

You answered my question in your next post. Thanks
That’s a strong comparison and real world evidence, thanks for posting. To me that combo is light of where it should be with that compression and camshaft but more info on the heads would tell the tale. I definitely think something is holding that back.
Did you dyno it with any of the other...
It’s hard to judge really because that combo wants 260-270 @ .050 and a big single plane. And I’d want more lift, like .630-.650, but then throw the LD340 on there and I’d want to see 230 @ .050 and .500 lift and 9:1 comp. So I’m gonna tell you to not be set in stone on any of them. Have a cam...
Not a lot to update at this point but I’ll let you know where I’m at currently. I have a complete mock up of the engine, trans, and McLeod dual disk clutch and all measurements have been taken. Surprisingly the bell housing bolted on with the factory dowels and measured within spec. That was...
I’m gonna go against the grain here and say that on your specific combo, the LD340 intake is what will limit it. But you knew that. It’ll go 7000-7200 no problem if your valvetrain is up to snuff, and you have enough intake duration, but the real question is will it make power up there? I’m...
I have the aem in my truck, and an innovate dual in my boat. Both have worked fantastic. Make sure whatever you buy comes with Bosch sensors.

That’s really cool. I hope you find it. But if you can’t, don’t let that deter you from having a different car. And definitely don’t let sentimental value dictate what you’re willing to pay for a car. Most of us here have made that mistake a time or 10.
No I don’t unfortunately. I just searched the easy stuff here on the forum and hopefully it will generate a little more interest. I also tagged the seller so he will be notified if he is still around. Just noticed he was last here in November 23. Almost a year ago.
