    426 hemi advice

I have a chance at a 66 426 hemi block for $1500( yes you read that right). My concern is, the block has had repairs made to an outer water jacket on both sides as well as a repair in main cap area. Seller said he bought it this way and doesn't know anything about the extent of the damage prior...

When I did my Magnum swap 5-6 years ago, I kept the Magnum intermediate shaft but used my LA distributor. Been running great since.

Nope, serious. I can't get in without a US entry waiver, a year or so of paperwork and thousands of dollars....and the waiver is temporary. I've had 2 of them, last one was for 5 years. Shitty cuz there's nowhere warm here beyond Sept thru to May.

Hughes HUG1110P valve springs- anyone use them?

Lol, thats true. When I tried to have them spec a cam for my grocery getter, it seemed like they wanted me to build a race car, or a mean machine.

Not getting political, but how's leaders of yours and my country treat us? Canada's "leader" is a fuckin goof and needs his throat slit. NOT going to Mexico. I was hoping to keep the trip in the $3k range for both. David I did the Havana walk with a local and paid him for his time. Had a...

Hughes HUG1110P valve springs- anyone use them?

What heads are the springs for? If using stock rockers on the rocker shaft you may need to clearance the rockers of they have not been ground already. It's easy to do, just leave enough room, I forgot how much my cardboard Guage was, I'm sure someone here knows how much.

    A Low Mileage '72 Duster

That Duster came from the local Plymouth dealership here in town. Glover Motors. I wen there more than once to buy 7 1/4 spider gears....lol. I'm surprised @dmoore sold it. Dave did a lot of preservation work on that car.

Car buff - new member from Upstate New York

Hi A-body friends. I am restoring a 1965 Dodge Dart GT with a 273 Charger Engine. Car is currently being painted to its original Ruby Red color. Engine is 90% rebuilt, tranny is being rebuilt, and interior will be redone. First time for me doing something like this. Will have lots of questions.

    intermediate drive gear question

Yeah, just snag one from any LA or magnum and use it as long as the wear on the gear isn't excessive and the shaft isn't scored up. Some have a pin, some don't. I wouldn't read into too much.

There was one spot next to the river we mined, a farmer planted feed corn and oats on it. It attracted quite a few Pheasants that often flew over his fence into the river  and than there were the Quail I could chase on the mine site with the skip loaders just for fun

That is some throwback memories right there. I had a Mossberg pump in mine. In an old Chevy 79 4x4 that we hauled a fertilizer buggy with. It had cancer so bad around the fenders you could read thru it!

Steve , I've never been to Cuba. But been to many Carribean Islands. Old San Jaun is very Cool. No beach though. Unless you go out of town. The Dominican Republic use to be dirt cheap ,not sure about now. Of course Mexico is one of the cheapest. And Jamaica.

With respect, I won't travel to a country that treats their citizens like dirt. Human rights? Not there. Find an up-and-coming island country, if it's the island life you're looking for. We went to Turks and Caicos in 2012. They were the cheapest we could find at the time.

Parents try to cheap out and buy a gun the kids will grow into. I can count probably on one or two fingers how many times I lost money on a gun. They don’t depreciate very often.

Yeah we did it on the farm name. Google us trademarks, they have a search function. If it’s not taken, for like 100 bucks you can apply for it, they’ll confirm it and issue it after so many weeks
