CHEAP people....let's see your stories about those frugal folks that were smart or really annoying!

Some of you older members may remember my “Project 2nd Best”, in which I took a basically free 1966 Barracuda body, and use all my 2nd best parts to rebuild it to a car that someone could drive and work on as they enjoyed it. 2nd best……because I had so many parts for early A Barracudas that I...

    [WANTED] Body

Isn’t buying just the body of a car and installing a drivetrain into it the definition of a “project”?

[WANTED] Long Shot Here - Looking for a 1937 Nash Coupe, or possibly other 37-38 5-Window Coupes or Convertible Projects, Rollers, Drivers - No GM Cars

I have this one, it checks all your boxes……of what you don’t want in a car! But, it is for sale. It belongs to a buddy of mine who has cancer, and I’ve been charged with dissipating all of his Mopar stuff so his wife doesn’t have to deal with it. I was going to pair it with this 4 door another...

    Vin issue 1965 barracuda

The “A” prefix stamped on the engine indicates that it is from a 65, most likely the original engine from the car. If there’s a fender tag, a Formula S car would have the digits “31” under the “ab”, indicating a 4 barrel engine.

    Vin issue 1965 barracuda

Agreed. If you’ve never seen a state issued tag, it’s an honest mistake to think it originally came with the car. Especially the early A bodies, there is really no identifying information on the VIN tag to speak of.

    Vin issue 1965 barracuda

That’s a state issued VIN tag, and not an original VIN plate. At one time the title was either lost, or the car was scrapped or something of that nature. Good thing you’re cutting it up. And, there is no corresponding numbers in 1965 that tie the drivetrain to the body, thst didn’t start...

    Seriously wrong Car Identifications ?????????

When you have a true 1 of 1 car, it’s easy to get it confused with other models. Maybe @toolmanmike saw it at the Nats, but it’s so rare, most have never seen one.

    Selling help

I have a PayPal account, I use it to get paid. I also have a PayPal debit card, I use it to pay for shipping for the items I sell. I also have a FedEx account and use FedEx to ship larger items. I set up my FedEx account to withdraw my fees from my PayPal account. I “dumpster dive” for larger...

    Selling help

Selling your stuff is largely going to depend on what the stuff is. If it’s small items that can fit into boxes, then list the stuff, get some flat rate boxes from the post office (free), and some packaging materials and start listing and selling. Flat rate boxes are easy to use, the shipping...

Please help identify this headliner color.

SMS strikes again. I’m surprised that more people don’t know about them, they’re a wealth of info and products for all cars really, but they always seem to have the hard to find stuff. Like that little hardware store in town that is fighting with the big box stores to stay alive, that always has...

[FOR SALE] A Body 8 1/4” Rear End

Howdy people, before I post this on the Marketplace, I thought I’d throw it on here. It’s an 8 1/4” from an A body, 3:21 open, complete except the brake drums. $200, it’s in Michigan, near Ann Arbor. I don’t really want to ship it, I know that’ll be costly. Message with any questions!

    Why Is It?

I live my life in diagnostics, everything I do I have to study on it, figure out what’s wrong, and fix it. My wife always says that I’m too analytical, and sometimes it’s a curse. I tend to hold grudges too long because I also analyze those situations too. Even when I’m learning new songs, I...

    Know the code for option?

It was a 73. I bought it from a friend of mine who was in peril and needed $$$. It was all taken apart, so I put it back together, got it running, sold it, and I split the money with him. I did take off the scoop and painted it black, I couldn’t take the tweety!

    Know the code for option?

Wow, from Nocar340’s breakdown, that is surely a pretty awesome car. Must have the 8 1/4” rear end in it too, yet another bonus! And, coupled with the Ed McMahon horn, most likely a 1of1! :-)

confused with lug stud sizes. help

The holes in the axle are knurled to hold the studs, which are also knurled. Drill em out, no knurl. You’ll play hell trying to get the rim on and off when the studs won’t stay in place.

    Early Darts Getting Recognition

There’s no room at the Inn, Baby Jesus, or in my pole barn or shop. If my buddy comes and buys all my truck stuff, I would have some room to store it inside. I live in a little like community, and outdoor storage is frowned upon, plus I have my camper and plow truck already outside, and our 4...

Send a piece of that headliner to SMS Auto Fabrics out of Oregon. They will match it exactly, send you a sample back, and make it for you as well. It won’t be cheap tho, everything has gone up, and that is not a very popular color, so it may not be in stock. By “in stock” I mean that they won’t...
