Why disc brakes? I have used 10" drums and manual steering for years, no issues with either. Only discs you can use are 67-72 K-H 4-piston if you want to keep your small bolt pattern...

Bad fog this morning. Then got clear, and hot. Cars were supposedly gonna be going down the track at 8, took till near 11 until they could run.

No way Jose! Total lost cause. 8.5 to 1, heavy car, stockish convertor 3.23's. You lose. Put in a stock 340 cam at best. Advance it 2 - 4 degrees. Ran that 230 cam 50 years ago. But it does sound good.

Uhhhh…. I pulled the spark plugs and squirted oil in each cylinder. With an old torque wrench, I gave it a spin and got a geyser out of #6. Then I spun some more… The spark plugs being at an angle helped me see where the water came from. Both # 5 and 6 had water. The intake ports...

I think '70 340 A bodies are the only '68 to '72 340 A bodies that had standard disc brakes.

I bought a truck with this motor in it. Pulled it out around '03, stole the rebuilt 587 heads for another car, then ended up putting some well-used 915s on it. Stuck it in my '65 around 2010, without ever looking at the short block. I wanted to know what i was dealing with, and I have too much...

My cousin sent me a birthday gift today. The glass has a bullet molded in it and the horn is off his Road Runner and is original and still works. Putting the horn on my Scamp and my new drinking glass. :thumbsup:
