Loose Interior Bolt - '70 Swinger 340 Rallye Dash 4 Speed

I just looked on my 70 Swinger, and I have two studs and one bolt, all having the white plastic spacers/isolators, the two on each side are studs, and the lower one is a bolt. Thanks to Detroit Muscle Technologies for the pic.

I was noticing how the hood slopes down to the grille. Bet the 70s prostock guys would have liked that.

    Anybody use clutch tamer

Hey guys. Just installed a clutch tamer in my Dart. I get the concept of it but just wanted to hear any real world experience. Per the website it says launch the car at 2,000 above peak torque.. for me that would be 7400.. my rev limiter is set at 7 haha. Just wondering what a good start is. I...

    .480/230 cam in an 8.5 CR 360?

There's tons of areas where we give up optimal power/performance from tires to air filter. Question is, what set of compromise are right for the OP for this car at this particular time ?

I think you are correct. I remember he had a couple videos on YouTube about his engine teardown after that. Search B3 Racing. Edit to add video.

    Flex plate choice ???

I've broken solid "ears" on the 4 ear SFI Mopar flexplates, but that's after a LOT of racing. I went to B&M solid round with no issues after that. I knew not to use OEM plates with cut-outs and was surprised the solid ear version broke.

1968 Dodge Dart GT Sleeping Beauty?

I have been eyeing the seat belts. They were very dirty. I put them in a sweat shirt, inside a pillow cover in the washing machine. They came out much better but not perfect. Need to clean the buckles and other hardware.

Getting started to work on my 1974 Dart Sport. I got questions

Oh wow. You guys are great! I don't know much about the originality of the car. I'll double check with my dad to see if there is a build sheet. I don't know how to read a vin number. Is that something you fellas can help with? I suspect it was repainted once before. Same red color. The...

I would be impressed if that drove up to the pumps! I would talk your ear off, so you’d be late for whatever you wanted to do because I would want to look at that car for a long time.

My plans for my 69 Dart Swinger 340

Avoid SS leaf springs if not a drag car, as the SS leafs are not equal construction left and right and therefore not symmetrical. Additionally, avoid Mancini leaf springs as one of the two SS leaf springs I bought from them the main leaf arched the wrong way the last 4 inches. When I raised...

    Bumper bracket questions

1973 Dart Sports had standard brackets front & rear. '72 & earlier brackets & bumpers are different - (i.e.: Demon - straight bumper) Most 1974 Dart Sports had standard front brackets too. 1974 was a "transitional" year so results may vary. 1973 & earlier take the same brackets & bumpers. '73...

Early ABody Steering Wheel Splines Have an Index?

It always bugs me if when driving straight down the highway the steering wheel is not centered. I know in the photo my steering wheel is aftermarket, but my question is if the factory '64 - '65 steering wheel only fits one way (with one different spline/space) or can the wheel be slid on at any...

    Odd ignition and electrical problem

An update; I found a burned wire in the harness behind the dash , all the insulation is melted off. It's black , and a fairly large gauge so I'm pretty sure this is the culprit. Prior to that , I unwrapped a good portion of the under hood wire , all that was okay.
