jets for Demon 750 ve annular

Anyone know where to find Demon's jetting guide? Did they take it offline? I can't find it anywhere, I'm just looking for a good starting point for jet sizes. I believe it has 67 primary and 75 secondaries. Any input would be appreciated. Carb is the Demon 1402020ve, motor is a 360...

Edelbrock heads and cam break in

Looking for some opinions. Should I be putting some weak stock springs in my heads for cam break in? The seat pressure is 120, and they are a single spring. Open pressure is 320. I'm going to run stock rockers for the break in. Cam is a Voodoo 200703, exhaust lift is highest at .513. I...

    Can I run stock rockers?

hmm order for hd's was cancelled due to back order, going with the Crane steel or the 273 commando's me thinks. Usually when I gamble I lose, 'nuf of that!

    Can I run stock rockers?

Wreckers around here don't have any good parts, they crush everything on an annual basis. Maybe I'll suck it up and get the heavy duty stamped rockers and the voodoo 60403

    Can I run stock rockers?

Lunati recommends adjustable rockers on the next smaller cam, they don't say anything about the 60403 but I'm sure it would be recommended, it has .513 lift on the exhaust. After doing all this cam research it seems like most of the manufacturers recommend adjustable rockers even on the tiniest...

    Can I run stock rockers?

I have a 340 with eddy rpm heads, flat tops, ld340, 750 demon, headers, auto with 2400 stall, 3.91 gears, manual brakes. I have cam selection down to the lunati voodoo 60403 or 60402. My question is : can I run stock rockers (successfully!) with the 60403 with its .513 lift? How about the...

Priming oil pump on my 340

Getting close to firing up my Duster, well I hope. Has a 340, comp hyd. Cam, edelbrock alum heads. I've been priming the damn thing for 15 minutes, it has over 70 psi but no oil to the rockers yet. What gives? Does it take that long? I remember my sbc taking about 10 minutes.

    Diplomat rad in a Duster?

I have a rad from a Diplomat, it's 26" wide and about 22" tall to the top of the cap. Is this just too tall for an A body? I don't mind doing some trimming to get it to fit.

    Do these #'s match?

thanks for the info, been wondering for years, not that it was a big concern. The guy I got it from figured it was matching, another guy figured it wasn't. I stole it regardless and it'll get driven hard.

    Do these #'s match?

It's a 71 Duster 340. vin#VS29H1B170712, engine # 2780930-340-2, date on motor 5-31-72. Could a 71 Duster even have a 72 dated engine? thanks for the help. There is no fender tag on the car.

    cam selection/cyl. pressure

thanks for the help guys, I guess I'll just leave the motor alone for now, do some tuning and hopefully it'll be a 408 next winter. I guess a couple seasons of that holley boiling over everytime I parked and washin down the cylinders with gas was wearing it out quicker. The Demon doesn't do...

    cam selection/cyl. pressure

OK, my compression test showed 140 psi, (I'm at 3000 ft.) So, question is, is there hp to be gained going to say a xe274 or xe284, or something more modern than my MP cam? without losing much in lower revs?

    cam selection/cyl. pressure

what I meant was at the sweet spot for the cam, not during a compression test, when the overlap and duration is helping to fill the cylinder more efficiently, it would increase cylinder pressure at that point compared to a cam that doesn't fill the cylinder as efficiently. As socal' said...

    cam selection/cyl. pressure

does't longer duration mean more air fuel in the cylinder , hence increase in cyl. pressure, giving the power increase?

    cam selection/cyl. pressure

Right now I have a 360, MP cam, .474 lift and 280 advertised, 110 lsa. I'm looking to go bigger on the cam, for starters I was looking at another MP, it's got .509 lift and 292 advertised, 108 lsa. The engine runs on 91 octane, timing at 34 and it'll ping with any lower octane. WIll the...

    what are my heads?

I pulled a header off and saw that the heads are already ported, bowls and guide bosses, so they're staying on. Woohoo! saves me 40 hours work. Only a couple 1000 miles on engine. I'll assume they're 915's like the receipts says for now. Cam questions coming up!

    what are my heads?

out of town right now, but tomorrow I'll see what else I can get for a # Thanks for the help guys. So likely they are 915's. Are they all 2.02's?, and a good head as far as performance goes? I don't think they're ported and want to get at it before spring.

    what are my heads?

the heads are on a 360, I bought the car running, I have a receipt from a head shop that says they are 915. The 1701 was the only number I could find with the rocker shaft still on.

    what are my heads?

Does the 1701 # cast into one of my heads mean anything? Just trying to figure out what they are, if they're worth porting. Thanks in advance for any input.

    head work?

yup can do comp. check. I really don't think it's lacking any power for what it is. I've had a few cars in my time. It's only got a few thousand miles on it, I can only launch about 1/2 throttle for the first few feet, spins a bit hitting 2nd. That's with the 17" tires, the 15" Eagle tires...

    head work?

keep the info coming guys, I'm taking it all in. I tried to get a casting number off the heads, all I could get was a 4 digit 1701 on one runner, a 360 on another runner, 3 digits on another runner, too hard to make out but something like 15C ?? Do these mean anything? Do I need to take the...

    head work?

weather ain't too bad here lately, -10 C lately for a high. So no traction bars eh? I had an extra leaf but took it out to get the stance I wanted (low with 17"). It has never wheel hopped but thought it might with a little more power and more traction. I'll try to get some numbers off the...

    head work?

Hi everyone. My first post here, very impressed with the tech info and attitudes on this forum. I have a tech question for my small block. It's in my E-body but don't boot me because I have a real 71 340 Duster that's getting closer to completion, well, I offered it to my brother and am...
