I am so looking forward to winter, and hot summer days being gone.

Winter sucks ***. The cold, the short daylight hours, the overcast skies, the rain or snow....It all sucks. In the Summer, you have ALL day to do things. Sure, the heat can be taxing but you can take breaks from it. From inside the house, you can look through the windows and see sunny skies, a...

    Thermo quad 6138s ?

The later TQs have a different casting on the airhorn for the acc pump lever. The casting sticks out further towards the front & the lever used for these is also different. Distance from the pivot to the hole where the 'S' link goes is longer. I believe the connecting rod is also different. The...

    90 degree filter adapter bolts

Ma Mopar made the ones with round holes strong enough…I don’t see why there would ever be a reason to have to tighten any one bolt significantly more than any other. All they have to do is crush a little copper washer

    Hood scoop to big?

...free! And at all rpms/speeds. Dropping air inlet temp [ & increasing the mass of the inlet air ] is worth about a 1% HP increase for every 6*F drop in inlet temp. Free hp. If you can drop the temp 30*, that is a 5% HP increase. It also helps to prevent detonation. I have aluminised fibre...

    Hood scoop to big?

My buddies Charger, in progress, several years back. Car was built in my two stall garage. Turns out this much scoop was necessary. Frankly, I liked the little one on my car better. And for what its worth...... everytime I sealed the carb to the hood scoop, it slowed down. (Both cars, three...

    Small bolt pattern wheel spacers

Just can find a universal one in that size they dont have 1/8 but 5mm which is a tiny bit thicker kinda between 1/8 and 1/4

    Almost lost a wheel

This is an Adapter not a spacer although it does create space. Spacers are safer than adaptors.. Never use adapters for the very reason you discovered . Do a proper BBP axle swap, it’s the safe way to go. If your making any kind of decent HP get 1/2” long studs .

    I need help !

50 pounds of shop air is all you need. Get the piston to TDC so if you do drop the valve it will hit the piston and not fall out of the guide. I’ve used rope but I don’t care how clean the rope is I’m not putting that dirty rope in there.

    Flooding AVS2 - What am I missing?

Welp! @65Val and @Bewy for the win. I took the floats out 4 times and didn't notice anything wrong. Tonight I gave them a little shake and sure enough, fuel in one. New floats should be ready for pickup tomorrow. The carburetor is only three years old and I only adjusted the floats...
